5 months agoFrom the beginning, they really took the time to listen and understand our situation. I had multiple ideas and possibilities, which they helped to clarify and narrow. When we were exploring solutions, they were quite creative in exploring options, and providing a very clear, simple way for me to optimize the value we received. Once we got moving, I appreciate that they took the time to answer all my questions along the way, both large and small. They were responsive when I reached out, between scheduling and forms to fill out. On the install days, Chris (along with Aiden, Chris, and Lu) were incredibly considerate of our home. I wasn't expecting them to lay down special matting, but they covered all surfaces they worked in (or walked on), and left everything cleaner than when they found it. They were also extremely flexible; along the way, we changed up venting, installed an attic fan, replaced breakers, and more. I know this added some headache, but I can tell you it was noticed and appreciated from our end. I also appreciate the authenticity in how Chris approached advising us to find the right fit of equipment. And, it felt comfortable sharing our days with his team in the house. Overall, we had a great experience with them in an earlier HVAC upgrade; a great experience here; and look forward to welcoming Chris and the Saucier team back (well, maybe not hoping more equipment breaks, but they'll be the first call when we do). Bargain HVAC companies are all over the place, but working with someone like Chris and the Saucier team who we can trust is hard to put a price on. -

7 months agoFriendly, prompt, clean, respectful, and professional. The process was explained in detail from the very beginning, and all of our many questions were answered. Chris, Alex, Lu, and Chris were great to work with on site. We could not have asked for a better team of people to install our new central AC. We have tackled many home projects with many different companies since moving into our house, and this company was, by far, one of the best to work with. They put us at ease and made everything painless. Thank you!! -

9 months agoTechs didn't really seem to know what they were doing. I get that it's hard to find good help these days, but it's still frustrating when you're paying for a service.

FAQ
Does Saucier Mechanical Services offer free estimates for HVAC repairs and installations?
We provide detailed quotes based on your specific HVAC needs after listening closely to understand your situation and exploring options together. Pricing covers labor, equipment, and any necessary checks to ensure the job fits your home properly. This approach helps avoid surprises by clarifying what is included upfront.
Are you licensed and insured for HVAC work?
Saucier Mechanical Services carries the required licensing and insurance to handle HVAC repairs, installations, and maintenance safely in Plantsville, CT. Our team follows local permitting requirements and standards for refrigerant handling to protect your property and comply with regulations. Proof of these credentials is available upon request before starting any project.
Does Saucier Mechanical Services handle ductwork fabrication and commercial HVAC installations?
We fabricate custom ductwork using specialized tools to ensure proper airflow and system efficiency in your home. Our technicians also manage installations of large units, including lifting them onto rooftops for commercial properties or replacing outdoor condensers and heat pumps next to homes. These tasks involve thorough inspections to match equipment sizing to your space.
What is your typical timeline for an HVAC installation project?
We commit to clear timelines, such as completing a full furnace installation, including removal of old equipment and performance checks, in one day when promised. Arrival windows are confirmed in advance, with our team arriving prepared to work efficiently from start to finish. Expect a walkthrough of the system operation before we leave.
Does Saucier Mechanical Services clean up after HVAC repairs and installations?
We remove all old equipment, debris, and waste from your property after every job, leaving your home as clean as we found it or better. Technicians use drop cloths and proper handling to protect floors and surfaces during the work. This includes disposing of dirty air filters and other materials responsibly.
Why is hiring you for HVAC work safer and better than doing it yourself?
Our technicians dive deep into each job, evaluating factors like ductwork, airflow, and equipment sizing to prevent issues like poor efficiency or system failure that DIY attempts often cause. We use professional tools for tasks like refrigerant handling and fabrication, which require certification to avoid health risks or code violations. This thorough methodology ensures long-term comfort and catches problems early through maintenance checks.
