I wish I could leave 6 stars!! Generously gave me a few moments of his time over the phone and helped fix a freezing cold situation so I didn't have a miserable evening waiting for a technician. I don't even have an account with them...just good, honest, smart people! 1 million stars!

This is your GO TO esp if you need emergency care. Furnace broke down on coldest day (feeling temp -29c), called 10+ places and Dave (owner) was the FIRST and ONLY one to respond on the DAY OF. Truly 24/7. Gave ETA and constant check ins so doesn't keep you hanging like the others. Jared (technician) was very friendly, punctual, professional, and took time to explain everything thoroughly. Best experience with a HVAC company I've ever had.

The technician who came was professional. However he made the leaking valve worse and tried to sell me $2500 in unnecessary repairs and service. Also tried to have me pay in advance. When I asked for just a charge for service payment he told me they would contact me in AM to replace valve. No one contacted me. My nephew replaced $40 valve. Thank you for $185 diagnosis. Owner called me this morning apologized and reduced diagnostic cost. Grateful. Honest Company in the end.

In May, we had a new air handler, condenser, and heat pump (HVAC system) installed by Climate Care. We were told that we'd be given a $2,125.00 rebate through Energize CT, and the owner of the company (David) said he filed it for us, although we never received any kind of paperwork confirmation about it. That was months ago. We have tried following up MANY times, and not only have we never received the rebate, but David stopped responding to our calls. We've gotten a whole lot of run-around from the main office about getting in touch with him as well. My husband left David a final voicemail on October 30 letting him know that if he was unwilling to let us know what's going on, we'd have no other choice than to submit a complaint to the Better Business Bureau, and he never returned that call. We submitted the complaint to the BBB on November 11, and no one from the company has responded to us or the BBB complaint. We were misled on the price of the project based on the promise of a rebate we've never received. I don't even know if there was a real rebate. The only reason I'm giving a 2-star review instead of a 1-star review is because the technicians who came out and performed the work were fantastic. Still, we won't be working with this company ever again. Update: The BBB closed our complaint because they never received a response from the owner.

FAQ

Does Climate Care Heating & Air Conditioning offer free estimates for HVAC services?

We provide detailed written estimates based on precision load calculations tailored to your home's layout, insulation, and other factors. These estimates outline equipment, labor, and any necessary ductwork modifications without upfront cost to you. This approach ensures accurate pricing and helps avoid surprises by clarifying what is included upfront.

Are you licensed, insured, and certified for HVAC work?

Climate Care Heating & Air Conditioning employs BPI-certified and IGSHPA-accredited technicians who meet all state and local licensing requirements for handling refrigerants and installations. We carry general liability insurance and workers' compensation to protect your property and our team during service. These certifications verify our compliance with industry standards for safe and effective HVAC work.

Does Climate Care Heating & Air Conditioning handle custom geothermal installations and in-house ductwork fabrication?

We manage full geothermal installations using precision load calculations to size systems correctly for your home's needs. Our in-house ductwork fabrication allows us to design and install custom duct systems, as seen in basement ceilings and attic spaces. This ensures optimal airflow and efficiency without relying on external suppliers.

What should I expect for scheduling and arrival times with you?

We respond promptly to emergency calls, even on the coldest days when your furnace fails, often arriving the same day when others cannot. Our team sets clear timelines from initial contact through to completion, coordinating around your availability. Expect communication about arrival windows to minimize wait times and disruption.

Does Climate Care Heating & Air Conditioning clean up after installations and repairs?

We leave your home clean by using drop cloths and shoe covers during work, then removing all debris from ductwork fabrication, unit installations, and repairs. This includes proper disposal of old components like furnaces or air handlers. Homeowners appreciate returning to a tidy space with no mess left behind.

Why is hiring you safer and better than attempting HVAC repairs as a DIY project?

Professional HVAC work requires certifications for handling refrigerants safely and performing load calculations to prevent oversized or undersized systems that waste energy or fail prematurely. DIY attempts often overlook duct leakage, static pressure, and proper electrical connections, leading to hazards like refrigerant leaks or fire risks. Our approach follows verified installation standards to ensure long-term performance and safety that homeowners cannot replicate without specialized tools and training.
