I used the Bee for the first time today, but I can assure you, it will not be my last. I had such a great experience with this company from the great customer service when I called to Darnell the tech. Had an issue with my sump pump which needed immediate attention. It had stopped working and water was starting to come from the utility room where the sump pump is to the finished area of the room. Called the Bee just before noon and someone was at my house by 2:30pm! Darnell (the tech) was heaven sent! He was professional, courteous and most importantly HONEST! Luckily he found that my flow check valve wasn't opening because of debris. He took it off, tested it, and voila, like magic if worked! Many people would've told me I needed to replace the sump pump, which would've been over 1k. Instead I paid the service fee and Darnell went on his way. He gave me a quote for a better unit (current one is from HD) which I have been wanted for quite sometime. Although I did not get the unit today, I certainly will in the near future. I truly am grateful for the prompt and professional service I received today I highly recommend this company to anyone looking for plumbing services!

TJ came for an inspection of my home heating system. He was very friendly, knowledgeable, and willing to answer any questions I had about my setup. He even helped me troubleshoot the radiant floor heating for my kitchen and called to confirm that it worked the next day. Top notch service, highly recommended!

"I recently called The Bee HVAC for a service call, and they exceeded all expectations. They were highly professional, punctual, and efficient in fixing my HVAC unit. Brandon, in particular, was outstanding-impeccable in skill, courteous, and a true professional. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend them to anyone. The Bee HVAC is now one of my top go-to companies in Connecticut-thanks to people like Brandon!" EDITED I initially trusted The Bee after a great first experience, but my view changed. They push a membership with "free inspections," but it felt like a tactic to upsell repairs. I just wanted my boiler cleaned at my rental property, but they insisted on an inspection I didn't need. I explained I'd dealt with another company at my personal home that had a similar membership structure-rating systems as "critical" just to charge more. Whether The Bee does that or not, it felt similar. Regardless of any response, multiple technicians have seen my rental property's boiler; it's in great shape, and a chimney technician recommended a cleaning. I don't need another opinion or a safety justification. Unfortunately, I can't rely on them anymore.

FAQ

Does Call The Bee Plumbing, Heating, Air & Electric offer free estimates for HVAC installations?

We provide detailed written estimates that outline equipment, labor, and any necessary permits or materials. These quotes are prepared after an on-site evaluation to ensure proper equipment sizing based on your home's layout, insulation, and ductwork. This approach helps avoid surprises by clarifying what is and isn't included upfront.

Are you licensed, bonded, and insured for HVAC work?

Call The Bee Plumbing, Heating, Air & Electric carries the required licensing, bonding, and insurance to handle HVAC installations, repairs, and maintenance in Farmington and surrounding areas. Our technicians also hold EPA 608 certification for refrigerant handling. We comply with local permitting and inspection requirements to protect your home and investment.

Can Call The Bee Plumbing, Heating, Air & Electric install ductless mini-split air conditioning units?

We install ductless mini-split systems, including both indoor and outdoor components like condensers and line sets. Our process includes proper sizing, line set insulation, and condensate drain setup to code for efficient operation. This ensures balanced airflow and prevents common issues like leaks or poor performance.

What should I expect for arrival times and timelines with you?

Call The Bee Plumbing, Heating, Air & Electric arrives promptly for scheduled jobs, often providing fast quotes and starts, especially for urgent AC repairs. We set clear expectations for the timeline from quote to completion, including any parts ordering. Technicians keep you updated on progress to minimize disruption.

Does Call The Bee Plumbing, Heating, Air & Electric clean up after HVAC installations?

We leave your home clean by using drop cloths, shoe covers, and thorough cleanup of debris from installations or repairs. This includes removing old equipment and testing the system before final walkthrough. Proper disposal follows local regulations to protect your property.

Why is hiring you safer than attempting HVAC repairs as a DIY project?

Our technicians follow industry standards for refrigerant charging, electrical connections, duct evaluation, and static pressure testing, which prevent inefficiencies or safety hazards common in DIY attempts. We use proper load calculations for equipment sizing to avoid short cycling or high energy use that oversized or undersized units cause. Professional tools and knowledge ensure compliance with codes, reducing risks like property damage from improper drains or leaks.
