2 months agoI am sad to share that I had a terrible experience with this company from the initial estimate through to the deposit, and ultimately the job was canceled. I found Audrey to be unprofessional in her communication and often unresponsive. When planning my job she took over 2 weeks to send the estimate and I had to call the office 4 different times to get someone to actually do it. Then once the job was scheduled, they did not share any pertinent details such as how long it would take, that I would need to be out of the house for a certain amount of time, what kind of prep I would need to do in the space, etc. I did not feel like I was dealing with a professional company at any point in the process. I was told I had to pay my deposit by card after a mailing a check in order for the work to start as planned (which had required scheduling a number of other contractors around this job and was going to be costly and problematic to reschedule) due to my check not arriving yet. So I stopped payment on the check and paid the deposit online immediately and received an email 30 minutes later saying they couldn't start the next day as planned because they needed to write up a new estimate due to me asking that they not fog the house. This was a single line item, but apparently a multi-day estimate review was the "policy" now that they had my money. Due to travel plans, the availability of my contractor, my plans to be out of the house, dogsitters, etc this became VERY expensive to be told 12 hours before the job was supposed to begin that it couldn't because I didn't want fogging done. Then, my deposit was not refunded for two weeks. They kept my money for two weeks after canceling the job. Such a nightmare to deal with these people and I would caution anyone against trusting them with your dollars. Go elsewhere. -

FAQ
How does Denver ECOS Environmental & Disaster Restoration determine pricing for junk removal or water damage restoration?
We assess the scope of the damage or volume of junk through a thorough on-site evaluation to provide a custom quote tailored to your situation. Factors like the extent of water intrusion, affected materials, and debris amount influence the final cost. Free estimates are available to give you clear expectations upfront without any obligation.
Are you licensed and insured for disaster restoration services?
Denver ECOS Environmental & Disaster Restoration holds licensing as a general contractor and carries insurance up to $2 million to protect your property during restoration work. Our IICRC-certified technicians follow industry standards for safety and quality in every project. This ensures compliance with local regulations for tasks like water damage mitigation and biohazard cleanup.
Does Denver ECOS Environmental & Disaster Restoration handle junk removal from water damage or storm events?
We manage complete junk removal as part of our water damage, fire, and storm restoration services, including debris from flooded basements or structural cleanup. Our process covers extraction, drying, and safe disposal of damaged materials like carpets and furniture. This full-service approach prevents secondary issues such as mold growth from lingering waste.
What is your typical timeline and arrival window for emergency services?
We respond 24/7 with a live operator to dispatch a team within two hours of your call for urgent needs like water damage or junk removal. Arrival times depend on location and traffic, but we aim for prompt on-site assessment to start mitigation immediately. Projects wrap up efficiently based on damage scale, with clear daily updates on progress.
How does Denver ECOS Environmental & Disaster Restoration handle cleanup and debris after restoration?
We remove all debris, waste, and hazardous materials from sites like water-damaged basements or biohazard areas, ensuring proper disposal per regulations. Our technicians leave your property clean and organized, vacuuming and wiping down surfaces after drying and repairs. This thorough after-care step minimizes your effort in returning the space to normal use.
Why is your professional approach safer than attempting DIY junk removal or water damage cleanup?
Our IICRC-certified team uses state-of-the-art equipment for structural drying and safe hazmat handling, avoiding health risks from mold, asbestos, or contaminated water that DIY methods often miss. Professionals prevent further structural damage by securing properties quickly, unlike incomplete home efforts that can lead to costly re-damage. With over 20 years of experience, we apply proven techniques to restore safely and effectively.
