  The team at West Valley Collection is always helpful, on top of things and really great. Even calling in to make requests to clean a bin or upgrade to a new one are very efficient and pleasant. Thanks for being excellent at customer service!

  Almost a 1-Star Review: This was, without exaggeration, one of the most frustrating and upsetting recycling experiences I have ever had. I scheduled a green waste pickup for a couch with a broken arm and followed every single rule I was given. I placed the couch exactly where they instructed me to and put it out exactly when they told me to. I was meticulous, because I didn't want there to be any issues on my end. And yet, the couch was never picked up. I waited all day. Nothing. I called repeatedly, only to be met with blockade after blockade-endless transfers, dead ends, and people who were either extremely rude, dismissive, condescending, or just outright unhelpful. What should have been a straightforward pickup turned into an ordeal that dragged on for over a week. To make matters worse, despite this being entirely due to their negligence, I was told through multiple channels that I could be fined or held accountable if I didn't bring the couch back in. Let that sink in: I followed all instructions, they failed to do their job, and somehow I was being threatened with consequences. During this time, because the couch sat out so long, a homeless individual took shelter on it and refused to move. The couch was then dragged and relocated three houses down the street. I had to call again-yet again-to explain that the item was no longer even where it had originally been placed. The response? Still unhelpful. Still rude. Still no urgency or accountability. That is, until I spoke with Lisa. Lisa was the only person throughout this entire nightmare who showed any professionalism, compassion, or basic human decency. She was kind. She was patient. She actually listened. She understood the situation, took it seriously, and-most importantly-she got it handled. No attitude. No blaming. Just competence and empathy. Let me be very clear: This review is five stars for Lisa and Lisa alone. If it were not for her stepping in and doing her job correctly, this would absolutely be a one-star review. Lisa deserves recognition, praise, and credit for saving what was otherwise a completely unacceptable experience. Thank you, Lisa, for doing your job with compassion, kindness, and professionalism. I genuinely appreciate you-because without you, this situation would have ended very differently.

  I've called Green Team a couple of times since I've moved into the San Jose area to get my home's garbage and recycling service set up and it's always an easy and quick experience. This time around, Sonya was extremely helpful, kind, and quick to help me resolve my request for swapping out my bin sizes. I have no doubt that if there's an issue I run into regarding a Green Team type of request, it'll be fulfilled swiftly.

  Sonja was an outstanding resource and knew exactly what I needed. She changed my service to what I needed and was the most pleasant and helpful person. Takes a lot to answer every call from customers. She is a wonderful resource and simply said, efficient, smart, and effective! Thank you so much, Sonja.

  After an accidental phone disconnection we then called back and got a different staff person, Sara. She was extremely helpful, verified what we'd already discussed with a different staff member and finished the plan for pickup service. She was clear, patient and provided thorough information to assure the pickup would be successful. Thanks SARA for a great call.
