9 years agoThe technician was friendly and very accommodating. I was putting a cranky grand baby down for a nap and my husband works nights. He did all his work and didn't wake up either of them. He was knowledgeable and explained everything clearly. He also gave us tips on maintenance, and what trouble signs to look for in the future. His goal was the safe operation of our furnace. Would definitely call them again! -

FAQ
Does A and R Air Conditioning & Heating furnace offer free estimates?
We provide free, no-obligation estimates for HVAC services including furnace repairs, AC installations, and maintenance. Our quotes detail labor, parts like Trane units, and any needed permits based on a thorough home evaluation. This helps you understand total costs upfront without surprises.
Are you licensed, bonded, and insured?
A and R Air Conditioning & Heating furnace holds all required licensing, bonding, and insurance for HVAC work in San Jose, including EPA certification for refrigerant handling. We carry general liability and workers' compensation to protect your property and our team. Always request proof of these documents before any work begins.
Does A and R Air Conditioning & Heating furnace handle Trane furnace and AC installations?
We install and service Trane systems like the XL80 furnace, XR air conditioners, heat pumps, and rooftop units for both residential and light commercial needs. Our process starts with a load calculation to ensure proper sizing based on your home's insulation, layout, and local climate. This matches equipment to your specific airflow and efficiency requirements.
What is your typical timeline for scheduling and completing HVAC jobs?
A and R Air Conditioning & Heating furnace offers same-day service for urgent repairs when available and aims to complete most installations in one day. We provide precise arrival windows and coordinate around your schedule, including accommodating naps or night shifts. Expect clear communication on permitting timelines if required.
Does A and R Air Conditioning & Heating furnace clean up after the job and handle waste disposal?
We use drop cloths and shoe covers to protect your home during furnace repairs, AC installations, or maintenance. At completion, our team removes all debris, old equipment, and packaging, leaving your space clean and ready to use. We also explain thermostat programming and basic maintenance before leaving.
Why is hiring you safer and more effective than attempting HVAC DIY repairs?
Professional HVAC work requires tools for static pressure tests, refrigerant charging, and electrical checks that DIY lacks, preventing risks like gas leaks or electrical hazards. Our technicians follow manufacturer specs for Trane units to ensure efficiency and longevity, avoiding common pitfalls like improper sizing. This approach catches duct issues early and complies with local codes for safe operation.
