3 weeks agoAfter hearing beeping in my garage and determining it was my LiftMaster garage opener motor with a low backup battery. And to consult my manual- no hint of how to change the battery in the manual. Called LiftMaster 1800 # and was directed erroneously on which side to open to access battery. Decided to call for help instead. And my service man , Cody Dixon, was very courteous. Replaced the battery after showing me where it was. Yay! He also checked the wiring on the motor and the wall. And checked the door for safety and man sure it ran smoothly. I'm very happy with my service and to not have the constant beeping any longer. -

1 month agoafter 20 years the door stopped working. Carmichael Garage came the same day and replaced it quickly. BUT, you'll never guess what was inside the motor casing! An old piece of cinnamon roll probably brought in by resident mice. So it was a good laugh too! -

1 month agoBen arrived on time. Another company previously "worked" on my doors and caused one of them to be inoperable. Ben patiently listened to my long story, gave me a very frank and straightforward overview of the situation as well as what he recommended to start with, as well as the price. He diagnosed and corrected the problems efficiently and got me 100% operational! After explaining what he had done Ben provided me with a full rundown of my doors, a written safety checklist as well as quotes for replacement of worn components. If you're having garage door problems you need to call these guys!! -

1 month agoJust had Ben come and fix/repair/tuneup a double wide garage door that would not open. He arrived within a few hours of my desperate call for help(my cars were stuck inside). Did an amazing job in short order. The door is incredibly quiet now and works like a charm. He even installed two springs so if one should ever fail the door will still open. Highly recommend this company and Ben. -

2 months agoGarage door wouldn't close all the way. Called CGD. They said they could have someone out today between 12 and 2. I told them I had another appointment at 12:30. They had a tech out within a half hour found the problem and ended up replacing the motor and drive system. The tech did a great job and finished by 12:30. It worked out perfectly. Thanks for a great job

FAQ
Does Carmichael Garage Door offer free estimates?
We determine pricing based on the specific issue, such as repairing a door that won't close properly or replacing a backup battery in your LiftMaster opener. Custom quotes are provided after our technician assesses the problem on-site. This ensures you receive an accurate cost without hidden fees.
Are you licensed and insured?
Carmichael Garage Door carries full licensing and insurance to protect both our technicians and your property during repairs and installations. Our long-term technicians, like Ben Beers who has been with us for many years, demonstrate our commitment to professional standards. Homeowners can verify our credentials through local licensing boards for added peace of mind.
Does Carmichael Garage Door handle LiftMaster backup battery replacements and new garage door installations with motors?
We replace backup batteries in LiftMaster openers when they cause beeping or prevent proper operation, a common issue not always covered in manuals. Our services also include installing new garage doors with motors, helping you select the right type like white panel or modern wood-look options. Technicians explain the process in detail to match your home's needs.
What is your typical arrival time and scheduling process?
We aim to dispatch a technician within a half hour of your call when possible, even adjusting around your other appointments. Arrival windows are narrow, such as between 12 and 2, but we prioritize speed to minimize inconvenience. Clear communication ensures you know exactly when to expect us.
Does Carmichael Garage Door clean up after the job and handle old door removal?
We remove damaged panels or old doors, like upgrading from dark grey to modern wood-look, and haul away all debris from the site. Our technicians leave your garage area clean and ready for immediate use after repairs or installations. This includes clearing tracks and panels shown in before-and-after work.
Why is it safer to hire you instead of attempting DIY garage door repairs?
Garage door issues like misaligned tracks or low backup batteries require specialized tools and knowledge to fix correctly without risking injury or further damage. Our approach involves diagnosing the root problem on-site, explaining it clearly, and avoiding unnecessary upsells, unlike DIY attempts that can lead to unsafe operation. Professional handling ensures smooth function and prevents common pitfalls like improper spring adjustments.
