3 years agoI booked online and someone called to verify some info. On the day of my appointment, they never even showed. They didn't even have the decency to tell me they're not coming. Very unprofessional and I don't recommend them to anyone. -

6 years agoThe guys who do the work were great and did a great job - However the owner is a royal class jerk (as you will read in other reviews of customers who had the unfortunate experience of having to deal with this class act) He refused to fulfill our contract for the $60 touch-up included with the package I bought and wanted to charge me an additional $180 to disinfect my carpet due to Covid19. I feel these costs should be incurred by the company as we had an existing agreement in place prior to Covid and this is a company policy, not CDC, State or City guidelines required to be followed. He refused to fullfill our contract and then yelled at me to sue him and that his lawyers cost $500 an hr and that I was blacklisted, LOL. As good of a job the technicians did, I have warn you (as others have) that the owner is not great at dealing with people and will back out of agreements and contracts knowing that it is not worth anyone's time to fight over $100 in court. Save yourself the headache and go somewhere else, there are plenty of other companies out there that do good work and don't have tricky package deals that they never intend to fulfill the agreements to -

7 years agoI want to be fair with my review. I did have an unpleasant experience with Pristine Carpet Cleaning, but the cleaning and follow-up appointments were not the issue. Justin and Vickie were on time, polite and did a good job. My issue and what I want to warn people about is the bait and switch estimate we were given and what the owner is like when dealing with a customer issue. Hopefully, this will save someone the headache of being scammed out of $118 and screamed at by the owner Eddie. Disclaimer-I understand that Pristine states in emails and online that the estimate can change when the technician arrives. However, there is also a fee listed online for canceling services if for instance the technician almost doubles your estimate Here is what happened to me: I sent in a photo of a couch EXACTLY like mine so I could get a more accurate estimate to price compare with other companies. They quoted me $167. When the technician arrived, I was not home. They told my roommate I gave the wrong description and our sectional actually costs $285. Not knowing Pristine made an error (customer service even admitted it was their fault) on the estimate and not wanting to be charged a fee for canceling on site she went ahead with the cleaning. Increasing the price 170% from $167 to $285 is excessive, and when you consider customers are charged a fee if they cancel, Pristine's tactics look predatory. I found other reviews that also had issues with bait and switch tactics. Just beware that the price they quote is probably a lowball price to get their foot in the door and they will switch it on you when you are already committed. Lastly, when addressing my issue with the owner, he was obnoxious. Eddie screamed and yelled at me. He refused to hear me out and threatened legal action if I tell anyone what he said. I think this is the biggest red flag of all, when a company tries to quiet anyone with an issue rather than addressing it. JUST BE CAREFUL IF YOU DECIDE TO DO BUSINESS WITH THEM. Feel free to message me and I can show you the emails and phone records for proof. Like I said, I am just posting to give a real account of my experience.

FAQ
How much does Pristine Carpet Cleaning charge for carpet cleaning and do you provide free estimates?
We determine pricing based on the number of rooms, level of soil, and any special treatments like pet odor or stain removal for wine spills. Estimates are provided after assessing the area over the phone or in person to ensure accuracy. This approach helps homeowners understand the value without unexpected costs.
Are you licensed and insured?
Pristine Carpet Cleaning carries full licensing and insurance to protect both our team and your home during services. Our technicians follow industry standards for safe carpet, upholstery, and flooring work. Homeowners can request proof of coverage before scheduling for added peace of mind.
Does Pristine Carpet Cleaning handle pet odors, stains, wine spills, Persian rugs, upholstery, and wood flooring?
We specialize in removing pet odors and stains along with tough wine spills that require targeted treatments. Our services extend to Persian rug care, upholstery refreshing, and wood flooring refinishing or partial replacement. These in-home options address common challenges like those shown in before-and-after cleaning results.
What is your typical arrival window and how long does carpet cleaning take with you?
We arrive within scheduled windows and complete carpet cleaning at about 15-30 minutes per room, depending on size, dirt level, and spot treatments. Factors like furniture movement or upholstery add-ons may extend the timeline slightly. Scheduling directly ensures clear expectations for your appointment.
What should I expect for cleanup and after-care from Pristine Carpet Cleaning?
We extract and remove all dirty water and debris using industrial vacuums, leaving your home tidy with furniture returned to place. Light items are moved by our team, but remove breakables like lamps beforehand to avoid issues. Carpets dry quickly due to minimal water use, reducing risks to padding or floors.
Why is your professional carpet cleaning method safer and better than DIY?
Our hot water extraction process uses minimal chemicals and powerful vacuums to remove deep dirt, allergens, and stains without saturating the carpet or leaving residue. DIY methods often fail to extract soil fully, allowing dirt to reappear quickly and potentially damaging fibers. This professional approach protects carpet life and handles tough issues like pet urine more effectively than home attempts.
