2 months agoService technician Daniel just replaced cables and a complete service of our garage door. Daniel arrived as scheduled introducing himself at the door. He asked questions about the issue we were having and listened to our responses. Daniel did a very thorough service on our older garage door. He was pleasant and polite. Another fantastic and professional interaction with John's Garage Door. Highly recommend. -

2 months agoI have used John's Garage Door Repair twice, most recently to replace the opener. Both Daniel and the owner were prompt, knowledgeable and friendly. Very pleased with their service. I highly recommend using this business. -

2 months agoBrilliant response time, amazing customer service in person. The person who came out was lovely and I don't regret my choice to call this company, but doing it myself would have saved 75% off my bill. I am a veteran with injuries obtained serving my country that would make this a painful job I would need time to recover from. Charged $135 dollars as an add on to my quote to replace the end bearings (which were definitely bad). These exact bearings are $12.88 from Home Depot; for that price I would expect sealed bearings or easier to grease ones. I understand baking in profit margins and install fees. These took a total of 5 minutes to replace, the tech was already at my house and in order to replace them myself, I would need to release the spring pressure. Which was the only reason I didn't do the whole job myself. Hard review to write because I don't feel like anything was unfair, they are a business and need to make their money. But the quote vs the final cost was double. -

2 months agoOur garage door went out of alignment and wouldn't close more than 2/3rds of the way down. It was 4:15 on a Friday when we called John's Garage Door Repair. We really hoping they might be able to send someone out that same day, and to our delight, we were told someone would be out within the hour. Forty-five minutes later, Will showed up and quickly assessed the problem. He showed us exactly what they problem was and what needed to be done to fix it. He only fixed the parts that needed to be fixed, and not once did he try to upsell any parts/services. We were told what the total cost would be and of the two year warranty on parts and labor that went along with his work. Less than an hour later, our garage door was working like new. We highly recommend John's Garage Door Repair. -

FAQ
Does Johns Garage Doors offer free estimates for garage door repairs?
We assess the garage door issue on-site to provide a custom quote based on the specific repairs needed, such as cable replacements or opener installations. Factors like the door's age, extent of damage from wind or misalignment, and parts required determine the final pricing. Homeowners can expect transparent pricing without hidden fees after our initial evaluation.
Can Johns Garage Doors handle cable replacements and wind damage repairs on garage doors?
We specialize in cable replacements, full garage door services, opener installations, and fixes for wind damage or misalignment issues common in Tucson. Our team evaluates the door's condition, including tracks, motors, and panels, to recommend the best solution whether repair or replacement is needed. This comprehensive service scope covers everything from quick alignments to complete overhauls for residential garage doors.
What is your typical arrival window and scheduling process?
We arrive as scheduled, even for late Friday afternoon calls around 4:15 PM, with prompt response times such as within half an hour for urgent wind damage assessments. Technicians introduce themselves upon arrival and ask about the issue to diagnose efficiently. Expect clear communication on timelines so you can plan your day around our visit.
Does Johns Garage Doors clean up after garage door repairs?
We leave your garage and home clean after completing services like cable replacements or opener installations. Our technicians manage all debris from old parts, such as damaged cables or motors, and ensure the work area is tidy before leaving. This includes checking the functionality of tracks, openers, and doors to confirm smooth operation without leaving mess behind.
Why is it safer to hire you for garage door repairs instead of doing it myself?
Garage door components like cables and springs operate under high tension, making DIY repairs risky and potentially leading to injury or further damage. Our professional methodology uses proper tools and techniques for tasks such as realigning tracks or replacing openers, ensuring lasting results that prevent future issues. Attempting fixes yourself might save short-term costs but often results in unsafe operation or the need for more extensive corrections later.
