1 month agoGreat experience. He came out for an emergency visit promptly, diagnosed the issues, and got the unit replaced the next business day. Would highly recommend, you couldn't ask for a better service technician. A great guy all around. -

1 month agoI'm writing a follow-up review because this guy absolutely deserves it. A while back, I left a review after he helped me out, and now I feel like I need to say it again. Recently, during this freezing weather, we had no heat. I had another HVAC company come out and they told me I needed Freon, that they no longer sell the kind my older unit uses, and that I'd basically need to buy a whole new unit. An $8,000 replacement was being pushed hard. While I was getting pricing on a new unit, I reached out to Mission HVAC. He told me, "I can come out for a service call and take a look." Four hours later, he called me and said he found the problem - and fixed it. No parts. No new unit. No $8,000 bill. The service call technically only covered diagnostics, but he spent four hours making sure my system was actually working. That kind of honesty and work ethic is rare these days. Because of him, my family has been waking up and going to bed warm and comfortable through this cold weather - without the stress of a massive replacement bill hanging over our heads. Thank you again, my man. One day this dinosaur of a unit will need to be replaced, and when that day comes, you will always be my guy. Mission HVAC has earned my highest praise. Their technician arrived on time, was extremely professional, and showed genuine dedication to solving my HVAC issue. Rather than jumping straight to recommending an expensive replacement, he spent the time to thoroughly diagnose the problem and explain everything clearly. His honest approach and extra effort saved me a significant amount of money. It's refreshing to work with a company that values service and integrity over sales. I'll definitely be using them again. -

FAQ
How does Mission HVAC determine pricing for HVAC installation and repairs?
We provide custom quotes based on your specific system needs and the scope of work required. Our estimates include equipment costs, labor, permits if applicable, and any additional materials. To give you an accurate price, we conduct a thorough evaluation of your home, including square footage, insulation levels, existing ductwork, and your current system's condition. This ensures you understand exactly what you're paying for before we begin any work.
Are you licensed and insured to perform HVAC work?
Mission HVAC operates with the proper licensing and insurance required to serve homeowners in Alabama. We carry workers' compensation and general liability insurance to protect you in case of property damage or other issues during installation or repair. Our team is also EPA 608 certified, which is required nationwide for anyone handling refrigerant. You can request proof of our credentials and insurance coverage at any time.
Does Mission HVAC handle emergency HVAC replacements and same-day repairs?
Yes, we specialize in emergency HVAC service and can often diagnose and repair systems the same day or schedule replacement the next business day, depending on parts availability and complexity. Our technician Josh carries common parts on his truck to handle many repairs on-site without delay. We understand that heating and cooling failures are urgent, especially during extreme weather, so we prioritize quick response times and thorough diagnostics to get your system running again.
What should you expect during the installation or repair process?
Mission HVAC follows a structured approach to every job: we arrive on time, protect your home with drop cloths and proper safety measures, complete the work to manufacturer specifications, and test system performance before we leave. Our technician conducts a full inspection of your electrical components, ductwork, and airflow to identify any issues that could affect efficiency or comfort. We also walk you through operation, maintenance requirements, and warranty registration so you're fully informed about your new or repaired system.
How does Mission HVAC ensure proper equipment sizing and system efficiency?
We perform a Manual J load calculation before recommending any new HVAC system, which accounts for your home's layout, insulation levels, window placement, air leakage rates, local climate, and other factors specific to your property. Proper sizing is critical because an undersized unit will struggle to reach desired temperatures, while an oversized unit wastes energy and shortens equipment life. We also evaluate your ductwork, measure static pressure, and inspect for leaks or restrictions that could reduce performance, then propose modifications if needed to meet manufacturer specifications.
What happens to debris and waste after your HVAC work is completed?
We clean up thoroughly after every job, removing debris, old equipment, and materials from your home and property. Our team uses protective coverings during installation to minimize mess and takes responsibility for proper disposal of old units and materials. Your home is left clean and ready to use, with your new or repaired system tested and ready to operate. We want you to feel confident that the work is complete and your space is restored to normal condition.
