Mr. Austin Clark is the best and knows his stuff. Communication was easy, he came out and was very thorough with his initial diagnostic test and identify the problem, and he was thorough explaining what he was doing to fix the problem. Pricing was very reasonable for the job that they did. He also gave me pricing for additional fix if I needed it in the future. Overall, I would say this is the best company that I have seen get the job done right the first time thank you.

I was referred to Austin by a friend and what a blessing he turned out to be! I contacted him at 3:26 and he was at our house, done and gone by 4:05. I've never had service like that. I cannot thank Austin enough for his kindness on this hot HOLIDAY weekend! My heart is so full!

Smith service was referred by a friend, I was worried about getting service since it was the weekend. They were able to send someone over with parts ready on their vehicle and was fixed very fast. I'm very satisfied with the service and price was good too.

I had a company come look at our AC and told us we had a leak on the outside unit and inside unit and that we would need a new system that would cost us 11k. I called summit and Austin came out and found there was only a leak on the outside unit. He had it fixed in under a hour and saved us 10k, and was very honest.

FAQ

How does Summit Service Heating and Air determine pricing for HVAC services?

We base pricing on a detailed evaluation of your home's needs, including equipment sizing via load calculations that account for square footage, insulation, and ductwork condition. Quotes itemize equipment, labor, and any required modifications like duct cleaning or smart thermostat setup. Free estimates are provided upfront to outline all costs clearly, helping you compare options from basic to advanced systems.

Are you licensed, bonded, and insured for HVAC work?

Summit Service Heating and Air holds all necessary licensing, bonding, and insurance, including EPA 608 certification for handling refrigerants and general liability coverage. Our team complies with local permitting requirements in Auburn, AL, and carries workers' compensation to protect both you and our staff. Proof of these credentials is available upon request to ensure your peace of mind.

Does Summit Service Heating and Air handle duct cleaning and indoor air quality upgrades?

We perform duct design, cleaning, and inspections to address issues like clogged coils that reduce efficiency and air quality. Services extend to furnaces, heat pumps, ductless systems, and upgrades such as smart thermostats for better control. These tasks ensure proper airflow, static pressure, and overall system performance tailored to your home.

What is your typical timeline for responding to and scheduling HVAC repairs or installations?

We respond promptly to calls, often dispatching a crew the same day for emergencies like a broken A/C unit in summer. Scheduling includes clear arrival windows, with installations completed efficiently after diagnosis and any necessary permitting. Expect a walkthrough of the process upfront, from initial assessment to final testing.

What does Summit Service Heating and Air do with debris and waste after an HVAC installation?

We use drop cloths and protective measures during work to keep your home clean, then remove all debris, packaging, and old equipment at the end. Installers handle proper disposal of items like worn condensers or dirty coils as part of the service. Your space is left tidy, with a demonstration of the new system's operation.

Why is hiring you for HVAC installation safer and better than attempting a DIY approach?

Professional installation follows manufacturer standards for refrigerant charging, electrical connections, duct modifications, and airflow testing, preventing inefficiencies or safety hazards like improper line set sizing. DIY often skips critical steps like load calculations and static pressure checks, leading to oversized or undersized systems that raise energy bills and shorten lifespan. Our approach includes post-install verification and generous warranties for long-term reliability.
