1 year agoMy wife and I were referred to Kahala Floors by our general contractor, who was helping us coordinate the renovation of our 55-year-old house. One of the major challenges we were facing was the repair and refinishing of our red oak hardwood floors, which extend from our living and dining rooms into three bedrooms. We needed repairs to termite damage, construction of a matching extension of the hardwood flooring into an enclosed lanai area, and a complete sanding and refinishing of all of the surfaces. We also needed all of the quarter round base trim in all of the rooms to be replaced, and our wooden staircase to be refinished. As soon as I met Shirley and we discussed the requirements in depth, I knew we had engaged the right company. She and her team were knowledgeable, professional, forthright, thorough, and flexible throughout the entire job. All of the needed materials were sourced without issues. Kevin and Brandon did excellent, skilled work removing and replacing damaged areas and adding the extension. Al and Ryan worked efficiently but carefully to make sure all surfaces were evenly sanded, imperfections were patched, and polyurethane sealant was applied consistently and smoothly. Chad and Cory did an artful job installing the new trim. Along the way all of our questions were patiently answered, and everyone did their best to minimize the impact of the work on family members occupying other parts of the house. I've attached photos showing portions of our hardwood floors before, during, and after the job. We think it turned out beautifully, and we strongly recommend Kahala Floors to anyone doing a home renovation who has similar repair and refinishing needs. -

The owner came to the house for the initial consultation, and was very transparent, communicative, and kind. After that, I worked with two veteran employees who were incredibly respectful, kind, helpful, professional, and trustworthy. I was very comfortable with them in my home. Kahala Floors was incredibly responsive to all my questions - I mean within a half hour of texting! I highly recommend them to anyone looking to redo their floors. I will be going back to them in the future, for sure. -

2 years agoGreat experience from the beginning to the end! The owner, Shirley came out the day after I first called this company to measure for a small repair to newly installed wood floors. She let me order the replacement material from a different location and they picked it up and delivered it to my place prior to install. The two installers were caring and worked together well to make sure that we were happy with the work. Highly recommend this company. Thank you.
