9 years agoIt went well. The rep from the fence company, Ernie, was pleasant, knowlegeable, and seemed trustworthy. The bid was priced under another provider's and a stronger, reinforced gate alternative was quoted as well. We went for the reinforced gate option. We had to wait a while for the installation, but we were told that ahead of time. Because this was a small project, it would be something they would do on an afternoon that another job would finish early, and that was fair to us, though it went on a week or two longer than first anticipated, but we weren't worried, we were just anxious to have our missing gate replaced. The two installers were pleasant as well, and they put the gate together well. Multiple owners of a condo association had to approve the work, and they all did. -

13 years agoI had utilized this companies services years ago. They did a great job then and now again at a new residence. It was a large job taking 7 days. Doug the senior installer was great from start to finish. He and his coworkers took great care in every aspect of the job. No cutting corners, just quality. I would continue to recommend them to others. -

13 years agoI used them 10 years ago in Franklin, MA. I called 2 other fence installers that were local to my new home in Whitinsville, MA. One didn't want to do the job because it was getting too cold and the other, never showed up to the appointment. I found North Smithfield Fence on line on Angie's list, as I couldn't remember the name of the company and called them. They showed up on time for the estimate appointment. The estimator was very polite, professional and friendly. He provided a detailed diagram of the proposed fence. Accurate pricing that did not change and a date for the installation. I asked if they could move it up any earlier since I was moving into the house 2 weeks prior to the install date. He said he would note it on the file and if they could make it, they would. They called me a week earlier than the promised dated and had the fence installed just in time before the snow and freezing temperatures would have gotten in the way. The installers were great. I would recommend them to anyone.

FAQ
How does Smithfield Fence determine pricing for fence installations?
We base pricing on your specific project details, including materials like wood, vinyl, chain link, or ornamental iron, property size, and any custom features such as reinforced gates. Our bids consider these factors to provide competitive quotes, often undercutting other providers while maintaining strength and quality. Free estimates start with your input to ensure the final cost fits your needs and secures your space effectively.
Are you licensed and insured for fencing work?
Smithfield Fence carries the necessary licensing and insurance to protect your property and our crew during installations. This coverage handles any potential issues from accidents or damages on site. Homeowners benefit from this protection, avoiding personal liability for job-related incidents.
Does Smithfield Fence install custom gates and wildlife enclosures?
We install custom ornamental iron double entry gates, wooden privacy fences, chain link around sports fields, and enclosures suitable for farms, homes, businesses, and wildlife in North Mississippi. Starting with your input, our crew tailors each project to define and secure your property precisely. Photos of our work show these installations in residential yards and other settings.
What is the typical timeline for a fence installation with you?
We provide a detailed timeline after reviewing your project, with large jobs taking up to 7 days depending on scope and conditions. Our senior installers coordinate scheduling to start promptly and finish efficiently across North Mississippi. Expect clear communication on arrival windows and any factors like weather that could affect the schedule.
What happens to debris and how do you leave the site after Smithfield Fence completes a job?
We remove all waste and debris from the installation, leaving your property clean and ready for use. Our process includes hauling away excess materials and dirt post-digging for fence posts. This ensures your yard or field returns to normal quickly after the fence stands secure.
Why is hiring you better than doing a DIY fence installation?
Our professional approach uses reinforced techniques and quality materials like those in our wood, vinyl, chain link, and iron projects to ensure long-term durability that DIY often lacks. Experienced crews handle terrain challenges, custom designs, and large-scale work safely, avoiding common errors like instability or misalignment. This method saves homeowners time, reduces repair risks, and meets property needs more effectively than self-installation.
