3 years agoNote: I have not hired Daniel, yet. My wife and I had an issue with our car while driving through Des Moines. The plate that protects our transmission and oil pan fell loose and we pulled into a gas station to address it. Daniel, who was filling his truck with gas, gave us a half an hour of his time to help secure the plate so we could get home. -

FAQ
How does Grace Electric Co. determine pricing for electrical work?
We provide detailed estimates upfront so you know exactly what to expect before any work begins. Our pricing reflects the scope of your project-whether it's a simple fixture installation, wiring work, or a more complex repair-and we focus on delivering quality results without unnecessary costs. Since we're a small family-owned business, we can often offer competitive rates while maintaining professional standards. If you'd like a quote, contact us with details about your electrical needs and we'll break down the costs clearly.
Are you licensed and insured?
Grace Electric Co. operates as a professional electrical service provider handling installations, repairs, and maintenance for residential properties. Licensing and insurance are standard requirements for electrical work in Iowa, and we maintain the credentials necessary to serve homeowners safely and legally. When you hire us, you can ask to see our current licensing and insurance documentation-we're transparent about our qualifications and happy to provide proof of our credentials before starting any job.
Can Grace Electric Co. handle electrical panel repairs and upgrades?
Yes, we work on electrical panels, including repairs to damaged wiring and burnt connections, as well as upgrades when your system needs more capacity. Panel work is one of our core services, and it's critical for home safety-we inspect for heat damage, loose breakers, and other issues that could create fire hazards. If you're experiencing frequent circuit breaker trips, flickering lights, or dimming when appliances start up, a panel inspection may be needed to determine if your service is undersized or overloaded.
How quickly can you schedule an appointment?
Grace Electric Co. works to accommodate homeowner schedules for both routine maintenance and urgent repairs. We handle emergency electrical issues when they arise, so if you experience a serious problem like a burnt panel or complete power loss, contact us right away. For non-emergency work, we'll discuss availability and give you a realistic timeline for when our team can arrive. Scheduling details and response times can be confirmed when you reach out with your specific situation.
What should I expect Grace Electric Co. to do with debris and cleanup after electrical work?
We treat your home with respect and clean up after ourselves as part of our professional service. Whether we're installing conduit, replacing fixtures, or repairing panels, we remove debris and leave your space in good condition. The extent of cleanup depends on the type of work-a simple fixture swap creates minimal mess, while larger projects like panel work or rewiring may involve more materials. We'll explain what to expect before we start so there are no surprises.
Why should I hire a professional electrician instead of doing electrical work myself?
Electrical work involves real safety risks-improper installation or repair can cause electrocution, fires, or damage to your home's systems. Professional electricians have training in code compliance, proper grounding, circuit sizing, and safe work practices that protect you and your property. We also ensure work meets local electrical codes and can preserve manufacturer warranties on equipment. Mistakes in electrical work are expensive and dangerous to fix later, so getting it right the first time with a qualified professional saves money and keeps your family safe.
