4 years agoWas cut off by an angry Dane and Associated Electric van at 2:40 P.M. this afternoon 3/10/2022 S.W. 3rd street. I was in the red light line of traffic on S.W. 3rd, as I was approaching I saw a work van trying to turn left into a parking lot entrance next door to McDonald's. I stayed back behind the start of the curb of that parking lot entrance to allow the van to get in. Once the truck in front of me pulled up allowing better clearance for the van he still continued sitting there and didn't turn. I started to just pull up closer to the vehicle in front me but didn't. When the light turned green I started forward and the driver purposefully and strategically cut/turned out in front of me which is obviously extremely extremely dangerous while scowling at me and angrily mouthing something while simultaneously handling his phone. He likely behaved this way because he was embarrassed he behaved silly just sitting there instead of taking the turn. Bearded white man late 30s to early 40s, seems to have low honor.

FAQ
How does Dane Electric determine pricing for electrical work?
We provide custom estimates based on the specific details of your project, including the type of work, materials needed, and labor involved. Every electrical job is different-whether it's a simple outlet replacement or a full panel upgrade-so we assess your situation directly before quoting a price. We recommend contacting us to schedule an estimate so we can give you an accurate figure for your particular needs.
Are you licensed and insured?
Dane Electric operates with the proper licensing and insurance required to serve homeowners and businesses in Oklahoma City. Before hiring any electrician, it's important to verify these credentials, as they protect you in case of accidents or issues with the work. You can ask to see our documentation when we visit your home.
Does Dane Electric handle preventative maintenance and panel inspections?
Yes, we provide preventative maintenance services including electrical panel inspections and system troubleshooting. Regular maintenance helps identify potential problems before they become safety hazards or cause expensive damage. Our team can assess your electrical system, test circuits, and recommend upgrades or repairs to keep everything running safely and efficiently.
How long does a typical electrical job take, and when can you schedule a visit?
Dane Electric recognizes that scheduling can be challenging, especially when we're busy serving the Oklahoma City area. The timeline depends entirely on the scope of work-a simple switch replacement might take under an hour, while panel upgrades or rewiring projects can take one to two days or longer. We recommend calling ahead to discuss your project and find a time that works for your household.
Will Dane Electric shut off my power during the work, and for how long?
We determine power shutoff requirements based on the specific job. For minor work like replacing outlets or fixtures, we typically only need to turn off one circuit, so you can continue using electricity in the rest of your home. For larger projects like adding new circuits or panel upgrades, we may need to shut off power to the entire house or even coordinate with the utility company. We'll explain exactly what your project requires so you can plan accordingly.
What should I expect regarding cleanup and how my home will be left after the work is finished?
We follow professional standards to minimize disruption to your home during electrical work. Our team focuses on getting the job done right while maintaining a clean work environment. If your project involves wall repairs or modifications, we can discuss any additional needs like drywall patching or painting, which may involve subcontractors. We're committed to leaving your home in good condition once the electrical work is complete.
