4 weeks agoBeaver uses a per-job price book rather than time and materials billing. They talk about this as if it creates price transparency, but they refuse to disclose pricing over the phone, have a $97 truck fee, before they're willing to show you the price book that wants over $500 to swap a breaker from 40 A to 30. They are courteous and professional, but they're bordering on dishonest about their pricing. Will not use again. -

FAQ
How does Beaver Electric determine pricing for electrical services like EV charger or generator installation?
We base pricing on the scope of the project, including materials, labor, and any necessary troubleshooting or repairs. For new construction, remodeling, or installations, we provide a detailed written quote after assessing the site. This ensures transparency so you understand the full cost upfront before work begins.
Are you licensed and insured for electrical work?
Beaver Electric holds all required licensing and insurance for electrical services in Hillsboro, OR. Our professionals follow local codes to ensure safe installations and repairs. This coverage protects your property during projects like wiring or panel work.
Does Beaver Electric install EV chargers and generators?
We install EV chargers, such as ChargePoint stations, and handle generator sales and setup for homes in Hillsboro and surrounding areas. Our team also manages computer network wiring, including fiber optics, alongside these services. Photos of our completed EV charger and panel installations show the quality of our work.
What should I expect for arrival time and scheduling with you?
Beaver Electric arrives right on time within the agreed window for all appointments. We coordinate schedules to fit your needs, with quick response for troubleshooting or repairs. Our two-person crews efficiently handle tasks, as seen in reviews of timely light and wiring installations.
What does Beaver Electric do about cleanup and debris after a job?
We leave your home clean and tidy, removing all debris from electrical installations, repairs, or panel work. This includes hauling away old wiring, boxes, or replaced components from outlets and outdoor services. Your space is restored to its original condition once we complete the job.
Why is hiring you safer than attempting DIY electrical repairs?
Professional electricians identify issues like a 20 amp breaker on a 15 amp wire, which can cause overheating and fires in older homes. We use tools like multimeters to test connections accurately and ensure code compliance during installations. DIY risks shocks, improper wiring, or system failures that our trained team prevents through thorough diagnostics.
