2 years agoWe are new homeowners and bought a brand new house and we were so excited to start our live here. One year after moving in our floor in the kitchen started popping up and bended in a weird way. We called the warranty company and they sent someone to take a look at it. It took over 3 visits to determine that the floor was not salvageable and needed to be replaced but the floor they used at my house was discontinued. They were only able to find one box and they send a technician to fix it and when he got to my house and saw the amount of work he needed to do he told me was not going to be able to finish with the only box he had. He said will do the best and I trusted him. His "manager" told him to offer me the option of taking a part of my pantry floor and install it in the kitchen area so it looked better since it was the same material. I refused. What kind of solution is that? Will someone accept that for a brand new house? The technician said will use the box and the usable flooring and he will do his best. I felt deceived because the floor was obviously not fixed and asked him what will they do since there's not enough material and he said someone will contact me and my husband. After this one of the warranty representatives Aldolfo Reyna came to my house with a Service technician Octavio Mendoza and the told me they installed a floating floor at my house. I told them I understood the floor was floating floor but it was POPPING UP. This was the main area in my house that had a severe and he looked away and simply said they could not do anything. I felt like a fool that let the first technician do a partial repair on the floor because here we are some time later and the floor is getting worse. I feel upset that my family and I have to deal with his situation and the wrongdoings of a 3rd part with a house that was just one year old. This is not right business and customers deserve better. We put our trust in your companies and this is what we get. You should feel ashamed -

4 years agoIron City Floors, or Atlanta West after they were purchased was used by Signature Homes as the flooring and tile contractor for my new build. They could not have done a worse job if they tried. 25% of my floor had to be replaced twice due to the poor installation and AW had to bring in their best crew from Atlanta to fix it. These guys have absolutely no idea what they are doing. They nailed and glued down a floating vinyl floor and left gaps all over the place from their sloppy work. The tile work is even worse. One of my tile surrounds had to be re-done 4 times, and then the master shower and 2 other surrounds had to be redone twice because they did not waterproof the cement board behind the tile. They also did not pre-slope the mortar bed liner in the shower. They dry cut their tiles so they have ragged edges and the layout work is horrible. They are entirely clueless. -
