3 months agoCeramic Tileworks lie's and does not care for resolving issues caused by their own incompetency. I wanted to return a small portion of a large order. The manager told me she will not uphold the stores return policy because the companies boxes were missing original tape. I told them the box never came with tape, the warehouse never placed tape on the boxes we received. Attached is a photo of our boxes as the warehouse employee was placing them into my daughters car. As you can see, no tape. The store owner is never around and has blatant disregard for his customers. Do not trust this store with your tile needs, they are nice at first but after you swipe your credit card they do a complete switch. Update, to the stores response: The beauty of the stone has nothing to do with my negative review. I know the stone is beautiful. My issue is with your employees lying to customers and the owner not owning up to his employees rudeness, blatant disrespect and lack of professionalism. Theres no miscommunication, and your response, again, does not address the issue. Past response: *Potential customer: please notice how the store has not denied that they have lied multiple times. This is because they know its true. They make mistakes and do not own up to them. -

2 years agoUpdate, in response to the stores poor attempt at replying to my original review: Your understanding is incorrect. Susan told us over the phone, prior to our arrival, that we CAN exchange the tiles if we bring them in. Once we arrived, the showroom manager decided to intervene and announce that she does not want to exchange the tiles. Basically because she doesn't feel like it. She said that because two of the tiles (out of the very many) in the box didn't meet her requirements for an exchange, she prefers to not exchange any pieces at all. Regardless, my review is referring to my latest phone call with Susan. 1 week ago I spoke with her about returning the new tiles we purchased after this incident (07/18/23). She told me in-store there is a 30 day return policy. She confirmed this multiple times in person. Later on the phone though, she tells me the store will not honor the 30 day return policy because the manager printed "final sale" on the our receipt. I asked her if the receipt was printed as "final sale" because they are discriminating against us, and she did not deny that claim. I asked her if theres a reason the sale is final other than the store manager disliking us, and she did not deny. She just responded with "the owner will call you once he comes back from California". No one called me and no one replied to my email. Therefore, the stores management lies to customers and on top of it all, has no human decency. --- Original review: They will lie to customers about their return policy, among other things. Horrible customer service. Owner is never to be found and always has something more important to do. Don't trust them. We purchased $10,000 worth of tiles and they told us multiple times they have a 30 day return policy, turns out they snuck the words "final sale" in the receipt. Note, we only wanted to return about $400 worth of the tiles we bought. A week ago I confronted Susan, the showroom manager who completed the sale for us, but the only thing she said was: "Im not in charge of anything, Ill have the owner call when he's back from his vacation in California". Of course no one called us. She didn't even respond to my email, said she'll "read it when she has time", I guess a week isn't enough time to respond to a customers email. Id recommend you literally go to any other tile shop in the area. -

FAQ
How does Ceramic Tileworks determine pricing for tile purchases?
We base pricing on the specific tile product selected, including porcelain, ceramic, glass, or natural stone varieties from our imported lines. Quantities and any custom design assistance factor into the total cost, with local stock availability helping to avoid delays. Homeowners receive clear quotes after showroom consultations to match their residential or commercial project needs.
Do you offer free estimates?
We do not provide free project estimates. Our process involves in-showroom selection where you explore samples and receive guidance from associates on tile options. This allows us to give accurate pricing based on your exact choices for backsplashes, bathrooms, or flooring.
Is Ceramic Tileworks licensed and insured?
We operate as a licensed tile importer and distributor serving the upper Midwest. Our showrooms in Maple Grove and other locations support contractors with quality products for safe installations. Contact us directly to discuss specific licensing details relevant to your project area.
What is your typical timeline for tile delivery after selection at Ceramic Tileworks?
Ceramic Tileworks stocks a wide variety locally to enable quick fulfillment for many orders. Delivery times vary by product availability, with some shipments reaching customers across the US in just a few days from our Maple Grove hub. We coordinate with your contractor to align stock and import schedules for residential remodels.
Does Ceramic Tileworks handle tile installation for flooring and countertops?
We specialize in importing and distributing porcelain, ceramic, glass, and natural stone tiles to contractors for residential and commercial projects. Our showrooms assist with selections like mosaics and wall tiles, and we provide lists of experienced installers upon request. This ensures proper handling of tasks such as bathroom remodels or backsplashes by qualified professionals.
Why is professional tile selection and supply better than doing it yourself?
Our experienced associates guide you through thousands of on-trend samples to match finishes like quartz countertops and cabinets, avoiding common mismatches. We offer technical information on installation best practices, which reduces errors compared to DIY sourcing from unverified suppliers. Accessing exclusive global lines and local stock ensures quality materials arrive efficiently for your contractor's work.
