2 years agoI would like to extend a huge thank you to Van's for thier cooperation with Sublime Contracting LLC during our extended construction project! Without the fence panel's to block our yard we wouldn't have been able to let our dog run free. A big thank you to Shawn and to Van's for helping us out during this process. Without them it would have been.. ruff!! -

2 years agoWhat a GREAT company! We needed our gate widened so we made a call to Van's Fence. The two gentleman that came out to our house were very professional and explained everything. They noticed something wrong with the existing fence and fixed it while they were here. That's something you don't see these days. Everyone from the first call to the last was great! Thank you so much! I definitely recommend them for your fencing needs. -

FAQ
Does Van's Fence offer free estimates, and how do you determine the cost of a new fence?
We provide custom quotes based on the specifics of each project rather than flat pricing. The cost of a commercial fence depends on factors like the type of fencing you choose (such as chain link, ornamental steel, or temporary construction fencing), the total footage, site conditions, and any obstacles we need to work around. We also consider access to the property and any scheduling requirements, like coordinating with other work happening on-site. During the estimating process, we walk the area with you so we can understand your needs and recommend options that fit your property and budget.
Are you licensed and insured for commercial fencing work?
Van's Fence is a long-established commercial fencing contractor that has been serving the Kansas City area since 1969. We operate as a professional fencing company and carry the appropriate business credentials and insurance typical for commercial fence work in our area. Working with an insured contractor helps protect you if something unexpected happens during installation. If you need specific documentation for a business, HOA, or jobsite, we can provide it as part of the project setup.
What types of projects can Van's Fence handle beyond standard fence installation?
We focus on commercial fencing solutions, including chain link, ornamental steel, and temporary construction fencing. Our work ranges from replacing aging fences at community buildings and parks to installing new fencing around commercial properties and shared spaces. We also handle related needs like widening existing gates and carefully working around features such as sprinklers, neighboring properties, and existing structures. If you are planning other work, like adding a shed or making site changes, we can coordinate timing so fence removal and reinstallation fit your schedule.
How do you schedule projects, and what should I expect for timelines and coordination?
Van's Fence has been coordinating commercial fencing projects since 1969, so we are used to working around other trades and tight schedules. When you contact us, we discuss your timing needs, any events or construction milestones, and whether the fence needs to be removed and reinstalled in phases. We then schedule the work to keep your project moving smoothly, including situations where there is a gap between removal of an old fence and installation of a new one. Our team communicates clearly about start dates, access needs, and any changes so you know what to expect throughout the process.
What kind of cleanup and site protection does Van's Fence provide during and after installation?
We take care to protect existing features on and around your property, including sprinkler systems, neighboring yards, and nearby structures. During installation of chain link, ornamental steel, or slatted fencing, our crews work methodically so surrounding landscaping and surfaces are disturbed as little as possible. When we remove old fencing, we haul away the old materials unless other arrangements are made. At the end of the job, we leave the work area in a neat, usable condition so your business, community area, or park can get back to normal quickly.
Why should I hire your team for fencing instead of trying a DIY install?
We have been installing commercial fences in the Kansas City area since 1969, so our crews are experienced with site layout, grade changes, and existing utilities and features. Professional installation of chain link, ornamental steel, or temporary construction fencing helps ensure proper alignment, secure posts, and consistent spacing, which are difficult to achieve with DIY methods on large properties. Our team also understands how to work safely around neighbors, sprinkler systems, and other infrastructure, reducing the risk of damage or costly rework. By coordinating schedules and handling removal, installation, and cleanup, we save you time and help your project stay on track.
