3 months agoExcellent top notch service from Logan and Peter. There was another gentleman with them the first day too. Thanks to all three of you. The work was done extremely professionally. It was a significant amount of work at a fair price. We are very pleased with the aluminum to copper wire replacement at each device that Hawkins Electric Service performed for us. -

7 months agoPeter, the Hawkins Electric electrician, did a great job installing multiple exterior light fixtures and combo smoke/carbon monoxide detectors at my home. Peter is naturally a very warm, friendly and knowledgeable person. In advance of his work, he provided me with excellent advice regarding my purchasing the appropriate exterior lighting fixtures and selecting the correct detectors. He then performed the job very skillfully and efficiently, carefully cleaning up afterwards. I couldn't be more satisfied! -

7 months agoPeter M. was my electrician And he was very clear and broke everything down for me with the pricing and the work. Frankly, he went above and beyond he was sociable and polite and knew what he was doing. He hung my light. He answered my question. He helped me figure out the best length for it to be, and just really took care of everything in a just a friendly way. If I ever need anything else done again, I will absolutely use Hawkins and definitely ask for Peter M.

FAQ
How does Hawkins Electric Service, Inc. determine pricing, and do you offer free estimates?
We price electrical work based on the type of service, the complexity of the design or installation, and the time and materials required on site. For example, troubleshooting an existing circuit, upgrading a panel, or installing new lighting each involve different levels of labor and materials. We do not offer free project estimates, so homeowners should expect a paid visit when we come out to evaluate an issue or project. We always explain the work we recommend so you understand what you are paying for and the value of doing the job safely and to code.
Are you licensed and insured to perform electrical work in my home or building?
We are fully licensed to perform electrical work and maintain the professional credentials required in the areas we serve. Our team carries the appropriate insurance so that both your property and our electricians are protected while work is being done. We stay current with local electrical codes and safety standards for homes, multifamily properties, and commercial spaces. Homeowners can also verify our standing with local agencies or business directories if they want additional confirmation.
What types of electrical projects can Hawkins Electric Service, Inc. handle, from small repairs to larger jobs?
We handle a wide range of work, from troubleshooting outlets or breaker panels to full electrical design and installation for construction and renovation projects. Our electricians install and upgrade lighting such as recessed lights, ceiling fans, pendant fixtures, and modern commercial lighting. We also work on multifamily and commercial properties, including pole lighting, bucket truck work, and commercial green energy technology. Whether it is a simple home repair or a larger renovation, we tailor our services to the specific property and project.
When I schedule electrical service with you, what should I expect for timing and arrival?
Hawkins Electric Service, Inc. offers standard scheduled appointments as well as emergency service for urgent electrical problems. For non-emergency work, we schedule a specific visit time or a reasonable arrival window and aim to arrive within that timeframe. Emergency calls are prioritized, but response time can vary based on call volume and time of day. If there is any delay or change, we work to communicate with you so you know when to expect the electrician.
Will Hawkins Electric Service, Inc. clean up after installing new lighting or doing electrical repairs?
We aim to leave your home, multifamily unit, or commercial space in neat condition after electrical work is completed. When installing new lighting, ceiling fans, or making repairs in walls or ceilings, we gather and remove our work-related debris such as wire clippings, old fixtures, and packaging. If drywall access is needed, we complete the electrical portion and coordinate with drywall finishing as appropriate for the project. Our goal is that you are left with a functioning electrical system and a space that is ready for any final cosmetic touch-ups.
Why is it safer to hire you for electrical work instead of doing it myself?
Electrical design, installation, and troubleshooting involve live power, code requirements, and load calculations that can be hazardous if handled incorrectly. Our electricians are trained to diagnose issues safely, work inside panels, and install wiring and lighting so that circuits are properly protected. We use professional testing equipment, follow building and electrical codes, and apply preventive maintenance practices to reduce future problems. Choosing a professional helps lower the risk of shock, fire, and recurring failures that can result from DIY electrical work.
