11 months agoI hired Shaun Texeira from Texeira Fencing & Concrete to install a fence on my property. Before the work began, I clearly explained multiple times that I have an invisible dog fence, which is an expensive system for my two dogs. I marked the cable location and ensured he understood the importance of not cutting or damaging it. I even asked him several times if he was capable of completing the job without damaging the cable, and he assured me he could handle it. Unfortunately, the cable was damaged during the installation. Accidents happen, but what followed was very disappointing. I contacted him, and he promised to come on Sunday-the only day he was available. My husband sacrificed his Sunday plans, including church, to assist him in locating and fixing the damage. However, Shaun never showed up, nor did he call to inform us. Since then, I have been trying to contact him, but he does not answer. This behavior is extremely unprofessional and dishonest. It seems that now that he has been paid, he has no interest in resolving the issue. Mr. Texeira has left me with a damaged system that puts my dogs at risk of escaping. I do not recommend his services to anyone looking for honesty and accountability. The picture I've shared only shows part of the damage caused during the installation of the fence. Despite marking the location of the invisible dog fence cable and emphasizing its importance multiple times, the cable was still damaged. This has created a serious problem, as it compromises the safety of my dogs. Unresolved Issue with Invisible Dog Fence* Shaun, I appreciate your response, but it does not address the core issue. While I understand that your contract may state that you are not responsible for private underground lines, that does not excuse the fact that I specifically informed you multiple times about the invisible dog fence, marked its location, and asked if you were capable of completing the job without damaging it. You assured me that you could. Despite my clear instructions and warnings, the cable was still damaged. Then, after assuring me that you would assist with the issue, you failed to show up at the agreed-upon time and have since ignored my attempts to contact you. This is not just about a contract-it's about integrity and professionalism. My husband never attempted to fix this in the winter because the weather made it impossible. Now that it is warming up, he is outside trying to correct the problem that you caused and neglected to take responsibility for. If, as you claim, you were unaware of the underground lines in the area where the damage occurred, that only reinforces the point that proper precautions were not taken despite my clear communication. The fact remains that my invisible Fence was damaged due to your work, and you have not made a genuine effort to resolve it. Your response does not reflect accountability-it simply attempts to shift blame. This situation has caused a significant inconvenience, and I do not believe your handling of it reflects professionalism or good customer service. -
