4 months agoTerrible experience!!! This is going to be a long one so I will summarize in the beginning. Summary : I scheduled carpet had to call back to reschedule on the day of installation. I was informed that the carpet had not been shipped so they could not do the install due to the owner, not changing the shipping date when the install date was changed.. I contacted VA carpet connections, LLC owner, Steve Orr Regarding having carpet installed in my home, I originally had my installation date set in the beginning of November, as my schedule changed. I contacted Steve and asked if I could change my install date. He told me what dates he had available, and we agreed upon one towards the end of October. 3 days before installation he contacted me and asked me if we could change my installation date due to a problem he had with another install. I told him unfortunately that was the only day that I could take off of work he said no problem I'll make it work. The morning of the install, 30 minutes before his crew was supposed to arrive. I received a voicemail from Steve, letting me know that my carpet did not come in and they could not come do the install. When called him to find out what the problem was, he told me he didn't know, but it wasn't his fault and that he could do it on another day and give me some sort of discount. I expressed how upsetting this was due to the fact that I moved all of the furniture in my house by myself and now had to move all the furniture back by myself and didn't really have any answers on why the carpet didn't get delivered. I was very upset, and I cussed on the phone several times expressing how upset I was. I never called him any names, but given the circumstances, I felt comfortable in using the choice words that I used, he started yelling at me on the phone when I told him I wanted a full refund he told me he was not going to give me my money back, so I proceeded to tell him that I would take him to court if he did not. After going back-and-forth arguing and text messaging, he finally agreed upon giving me a full refund of my money and canceling my carpet order. Needless to say I was extremely disappointed, as a business owner myself I would have made sure the evening before installation if he had known the carpet had not been delivered, then he should have made a phone call to me letting me know in advance, so I would not have gone through moving the remaining furniture and putting a strain on my back. I will never use his company for anything ever again and I hope that this situation helps anyone else who decides to use VA carpet connections LLC for their carpet install. I am sure I will get feedback from Mr. Steve Orr and I welcome it because I am not ashamed of anything that I have said or anything that I have done, but he should be ashamed as a business owner that he forgot to change the shipping date when we moved the install date. And if you go back and look through his reviews, you will see I am not the only one that this has happened to. -

10 months agoMy wife and I used VA Carpet Connection for the new floors in our house. Steve is very pleasant to talk with and the price and materials were good. My advice would be to make sure everything you want is put down in writing on the order form so there is no confusion. We had some issues with the floors after install but they came out and fixed them in less than 48 hours. It wasn't a totally flawless transaction but the major issues were corrected and I have revised my review because of that.
