2 years agoI highly recommend Mendez Flooring!! Alberth is the best!! He does amazing work and I will continue to use him in the future. He did the floors in 3 of my bedrooms, 2 bathrooms and is currently working on my garage conversion. He's really smart and knows what he's doing. My family hires him, too. He's very kind, honest fair and reliable. All the guys he's ever had with him are fantastic, too. I will be hiring him again to do my guest house next summer. I went with the waterproof floors and I'm so pleased. With a pool, the waterproof floors was the best choice and they look amazing. And the color is so beautiful. Alberth is so knowledgeable and can figure out anything.

FAQ
Does Mendez Carpet offer free estimates for carpet installation?
We provide free estimates after visiting your location at 5228 Division Ave S in Grand Rapids to precisely measure the space. This allows us to account for factors like room size, stairs, and material type when determining the final quote. Accurate measuring ensures you get the right amount of carpet without excess waste.
Are you licensed and insured for flooring work?
Mendez Carpet carries the necessary licensing and insurance required for carpet contracting, flooring, and tile installation in Michigan. Homeowners can verify our credentials through state resources to confirm compliance. This coverage protects both your property and our team during every project.
Does Mendez Carpet handle tile installation and LVP flooring in bathrooms and kitchens?
We manage full tile installation for bathrooms and kitchens, including marble-look tiles, as well as LVP flooring projects. Our process covers precise cutting, fitting, and securing to ensure durable results in wet areas. These services extend to both residential homes and commercial spaces across Michigan.
What is your typical timeline for scheduling and completing a carpet installation?
We schedule installations based on your availability, typically aiming to complete standard home projects within a few days of measurement. Arrivals occur in agreed-upon windows to minimize disruption, with larger jobs like commercial carpet tile possibly spanning multiple days. Advance notice helps coordinate material delivery and old flooring removal.
Does Mendez Carpet remove old flooring and clean up after installation?
We handle complete removal of old flooring before installing new carpet, tile, or LVP. All debris from cutting, removal, and installation gets cleared away, leaving your space clean and ready to use. This includes hauling away waste to keep your home or business tidy throughout the process.
Why is professional carpet installation safer and better than doing it yourself?
Our hands-on approach uses precise measuring, cutting, and power stretching for seamless fits that prevent tripping hazards and premature wear common in DIY attempts. Professionals ensure proper subfloor preparation and secure adhesion, avoiding issues like buckling or loose seams over time. This method stands up to daily foot traffic in homes and businesses far longer than self-installation.
