2 months agoBeware this company withholds monies owed to their subs for no apparent reason. I would not extend them any credit terms. -

1 year agoI am so great full for Volt Doctors. I smelled electrical burning and called Andy. He sent his best guy immediately and fixed a loose wire it that had melted almost completely away. Henry Dean was polite, professional and very knowledgeable in his craft. I highly recommend Volt Doctors for your future needs. -

1 year agoI hired Volt Doctors to make a number of overdue electrical repairs and improvements at my 45 year old house. Steven H. provided a detailed estimate ahead of time and answered all of my questions in a friendly and respectful manner. He and Henry were a great team on the first day of upgrades and I was especially impressed with their coordination installing a new ceiling fan in my living room with very limited attic access. Throughout the job, Steven consistently checked in with me on my installation preferences, which I really appreciated. Upgrades included replacing and moving outlets and lights, adding a new 20 amp circuit, adding a new 15 amp circuit, and installing a new ceiling fan and switch. Everything passed inspection with the City of Raleigh a couple days later. Overall I am very happy with their work and recommend Volt Doctors without reservation. -

1 year agoAshley Beck came out at 7am on a Sunday to replace a part so we could get our power restored quickly. He was knowledgeable, quick, and was able to talk with our power company directly to get everything squared away and set. We appreciated it! Also grateful for Summer's help early in the morning to dispatch someone out, and to go back and forth with our electric company to get some additional answers. Great friendly people, will contact them for any of our future needs.

FAQ
Does Volt Doctors Raleigh offer free estimates for electrical repairs?
We provide detailed estimates ahead of time based on a thorough inspection of your wiring, circuits, and electrical systems. These estimates are transparent and cover emergency repairs, hazard diagnostics, and system improvements without any upfront cost. This allows homeowners to understand the full scope and pricing before committing to the work.
Are you licensed and insured for electrical work in Raleigh?
Volt Doctors Raleigh holds license number 26915 from the North Carolina State Board of Examiners of Electrical Contractors, ensuring all work meets state standards. Our certified electricians carry proper insurance to protect homeowners during repairs and installations. Homeowners can verify this license directly with the state board for added peace of mind.
Does Volt Doctors Raleigh install generators and ceiling fans?
We handle installation and servicing of outdoor generators like Briggs & Stratton models, including connections to your electrical panel for reliable backup power. Our team also installs decorative ceiling fans in indoor and outdoor spaces, ensuring proper wiring to prevent hazards like electrical fires. These services extend to homes of any age, addressing both repairs and upgrades.
What is your typical response time for emergency calls?
We respond quickly to urgent situations, often sending a technician immediately, even on weekends or early mornings like 7am Sundays. Expect clear arrival windows and direct communication when scheduling estimates or repairs. Our 24/7 availability means power restoration and hazard fixes happen without unnecessary delays.
Does Volt Doctors Raleigh clean up after electrical jobs?
We leave your home clean and courteous after every job, removing debris from repairs like loose wires or panel work. Technicians manage waste from installations such as generators or fans efficiently. This ensures your space is safe and tidy once power is restored or improvements are complete.
Why should I hire you instead of doing electrical repairs myself?
Our certified electricians use expert diagnostics to identify fire risks like melting wires or charring breakers that DIY efforts often miss, preventing potential hazards. Professional tools and knowledge ensure safe fixes for complex systems like panels and generators, avoiding injuries or code violations. Homeowners gain long-term safety and efficiency without the risks of improper wiring or overloads.
