7 months agoNeeded an Electrician ASAP to fix a 220 socket for our new clothes dryer. Andy the owner showed up an hour later! What a great guy and his experience and honesty is first rate. Fixed the problem at the panel and made some additional and necessary modifications. Will use him soon to upgrade the entire panel. Great company with a heck of an owner! -

FAQ
Does Volt Doctors offer free estimates for electrical repairs and installations?
We provide detailed quotes based on the scope of work, including factors like parts, labor, and any necessary inspections. Contact us to schedule a visit where we assess your needs and give a transparent breakdown of costs upfront. This helps you understand the full value before committing to the project.
Are you licensed and insured for electrical work?
Volt Doctors technicians are fully licensed and insured to perform residential and commercial electrical services safely. Our coverage protects your property during installations like panel upgrades or generator setups. We carry proper credentials as required in North Carolina to ensure compliance with local codes.
Does Volt Doctors handle electrical panel replacements and generator installations?
We specialize in replacing old panels, such as upgrading from Gould to Square D Homeline, and installing generators for reliable power. Our team also manages high-amp circuits for sheds, car chargers, and exterior service connections visible in our project photos. These services cover both residential and commercial needs with precise wiring and components.
What should I expect for arrival times and project timelines?
We arrive on schedule within agreed windows and communicate any changes promptly, even for 24/7 emergencies. Timelines depend on job complexity, like a quick outlet repair versus a full panel replacement, which we outline during quoting. Our professionals complete work efficiently while prioritizing safety and code adherence.
Does Volt Doctors clean up after electrical service jobs?
We leave your property clean and tidy, removing all debris from installations like panels, conduits, or overhead connections. Technicians organize tools and test systems before final walkthroughs to confirm everything functions properly. This ensures your home or business returns to normal use without hassle.
Why is hiring you safer than attempting DIY electrical repairs?
Our decades of experience allow us to diagnose issues like tripped breakers or fried outlets accurately, avoiding risks such as shocks or fires from improper wiring. Professionals use specialized tools for tasks like grounding houses or surge protection, ensuring code-compliant results that last. DIY often misses hidden problems, leading to costly fixes later, while we provide thorough testing and knowledge from handling local power issues.
