11 years agoI contracted with a carpet company other than Home Carpet and they did a miserable job and Home Carpet came to my rescue. I dealt with Mike in the office and the installer was Andraus and they both were very good to work with. Carpet installation seems to be fairly straight forward but the first company I hired failed miserably. Not only did they butcher the runner for my steps, where the top 6 steps create a curve, but they did very noticeable seams and even miss cut in a door way and had to piece the carpet and once again the seams were bad. I might mention this company got the highest of grades on Angie's List and basically did a hack job. I am selling my house and had to turn around and buy new carpet and have installed as it was that bad. Home Carpet handled my curving steps beautifully with everything lining up neatly and all seams were excellent. They redid my steps, upstairs landing and upstairs hall. I have used them in the past and do not know what possessed me to try someone else (lesson learned) as they had always done an excellent job in the past. I find their prices to be reasonable and the installation to be excellent. If you need carpet give them a call or go to their showroom on Huntley, I think you will be happy that you did.
