Purchased flooring here that had been discontinued. Had no issues with the quality of the product and pricing was more than fair ($1.99/sq ft). Super quick transaction and the employees were kind.

Had Chad come and do carpet for a living room for us and it was great. Then we had him come measure for a bathroom and bedroom after picking out what we wanted. He never returned our calls after that. Not sure if our job wasn't big enough for him but he ghosted us. We called the store and spoke to a worker and no return call. We left multiple voicemails with no return call. If you want some place reliable this in NOT the place to go.

Super WEIRD experience. Truly was the only place within 6 hours that had our discontinued vinyls planks. My wife did all the communication and I drove 3 hours to pickup 2 boxes. Upon arrival i found the boxes near the front and they looked banged up so when I was able to connect with the sales guy I asked if I could inspect them. Few of the planks were damaged and I ended up with 14 total usable boards. This is where it gets weird. He asked if I was giving a price and I told him my wife did the communication and he then quoted me a price which was not bad ($64). I wanted to just check with my wife and after the call she was under the impression it was only going to be around $32. So I asked him about that. This guy FREAKED OUT on me in front of 5-7 other customers raising his voice saying that I was trying to haggle him. In short extremely unprofessional and disrespectful. If I would not have drove 3 hours I would have told them to pound salt.

I really hate writing bad reviews. Especially years after the fact. I had carpet installed in 2018, my carpet has buckled in THREE times since getting it installed. Granted, they have come out and stretched it back out for me at least once, if not twice. It was obviously installed poorly the first time, I've lived in this house my whole life and our old carpet never did this. I'm extremely frustrated and will not recommend them. Not to mention, not sure of the names of the installers, but as they were installing my carpet, one of the men said "I'm gonna go blow up the bathroom" (the only bathroom I have in the house by the way) and then proceeded to do so. Obviously I know that everyone has to go but to announce it where the home owner can hear?? Gross. Never again.

This place has the biggest weirdos. I talked to Dennis Friday March 29th about carpet pricing and was given the price of 6 dollars per yard for 3 different styles of carpet. He sent pics of the 3 that he was offering and I sold my job based on the price I was told. I said I would come in the next day. I just called March 30th to make sure they were open so I could pay over phone to have it ready this afternoon. The owner chad told me he could not honor that price without verification from his salesman that I was told that. Then it turned into that carpet is too thick to sell for that price now totally disregarding the fact that he could just call the other guy to verify. Now I have a customer that can't get carpet installed because they don't know how to operate on same page. I asked owner what he would do if a regular customer not an installer came and picked out carpet Friday in store with ur salesman and then pick up next day how would u handle that. He said " all I have told do is say that it sold out" this is coming from the owner after I explained that this will mess mine and my customers day royaly because his salesperson doesn't know propper pricing. No sorry for that mistake and bite the bullet and get more business from me. I had just bought 430 yds weeks before and had so much more carpet needed for this project. I just started buying from these guys recently to have a solid place locally to grab with short notice.

FAQ

How does Truly Carpet determine pricing for carpet installation?

We calculate pricing based on the specific carpet style, yardage needed, and any additional factors like stairs or patterns that require extra cuts. Our team provides custom quotes after measuring your space and discussing your choices, with examples including $6 per yard for certain styles or $1.99 per square foot for discontinued flooring. This ensures fair value tailored to your home's needs without hidden fees.

Are you licensed and insured for carpet installation work?

Truly Carpet carries the necessary licensing, bonding, and insurance required for carpet contracting in our service area. Homeowners can verify our credentials through state resources using our registration details upon request. This coverage protects your property during measuring, cutting, and installation processes.

Does Truly Carpet handle carpet repairs and full installations?

We manage complete carpet services from sales and measuring to precise cutting, seaming, and professional installation for any room. Our approach includes handling repairs alongside new installs, using high-quality materials like those from Shaw Floor Studio. This covers everything needed to fit your home's unique layout.

What should I expect for scheduling and arrival times with you?

We arrive in a timely manner within agreed windows, coordinating around your schedule after confirming carpet availability. Installation timelines depend on job size but typically proceed quickly once materials are on site. Contact us for advance booking to align with your needs.

What does Truly Carpet do with old carpet waste and site cleanup?

We haul away old carpet and debris as part of the installation process to leave your space clean. Our team secures every seam and ensures floors are ready for immediate use post-job. This standard practice minimizes disruption during and after the work.

Why is your professional carpet installation better than doing it myself?

Our method uses precision tools for measuring, cutting, and seaming to prevent uneven wear and ensure long-lasting results that DIY often misses. Professionals handle power stretching and secure fits tailored to your home's specifics, avoiding common issues like loose edges or bubbles. This expertise delivers floors that perform evenly for years without the risks of amateur attempts.
