1 year agoEric and his team were nothing short of amazing. We had them install new hardwood flooring, refinish existing flooring, and transform our carpeted staircase into hardwood stairs. They were able to refinish the existing flooring to perfectly and seamlessly match the new hardwood areas. Their work was fantastic. I was particularly impressed with their finish details, such as trimming out around the hearth of the fireplace. Every element of their work was old school top tier craftsmanship. I can't recommend them enough. -

3 years agoWe had our floors refinished by another flooring contractor who unfortunately did a terrible job twice. When I first met with Eric I was 100% convinced they could fix all the issues caused by the first company and give us a level well finished ash hardwood floor. Their workers were on time, professional, friendly and real craftsmen. Our finished floor now looks awesome and we are so glad we went with Totally Floored. Pretty simple concept in that Eric told us that they could look like new and that's what they did. -

4 years agoThey were diligent about removing the squeaky baseboards. They estimated a day an a half. Ended up staying an extra hour or so to complete in one day. -

8 years agoThey helped us (patiently!) through the process of deciding what wood to use and the layout. Originally we had wanted maple but decided to go with another wood because many companies would not stain maple. But Totally Floored said they could could do it so maple it was. Ironically, though, after seeing the character of the wood we decided NOT to stain it in order to highlight the color variation. Our installer was friendly, punctual, courteous, took the time to answer questions and most importantly...DID A GREAT JOB! If you have read this far, you can stop shopping; you can't go wrong with this outfit. -

8 years agoThe project went beautifully! The estimate was certainly more than other companies (we got 6-7 estimates, Totally Floored priced out in the top 3 more expensive companies)--Eric is very forthright that their company's price point can run 10-20% above other companies at the time of the estimate. I liked Eric from the beginning. He seemed very knowledgeable, approachable and trustworthy from our first meeting to look at the project. I also appreciated that he was able to arrange for me to see his most recent project in another client's home. (That homeowner was an excellent reference, by chance, as the family was home when I came by to see the project.) Our project was certainly a big one, but Eric and his team were able to stick by the proposed timeline. This is particularly impressive considering that we ran into unexpected issues during the new hardwood install (inadequate subflooring). The near-dustless sanding and premium staining were well worth the added cost. We especially appreciated that they showed us both basic staining and the premium staining to let us choose between the 2 techniques. We also enjoyed that the color of the stain was custom mixed to our preference, and that we were able to see test swatches on our floors before finalizing the color selection. We can't say enough good things about Eric's team (Tom, Brady, Jacob---I'm going to feel AWFUL if I messed up their names!!). This team worked hard, showed up on time, stayed late when necessary, and kept our home neat. They pitched in with other home issues, such as errant movers who didn't have tools to take apart the beds, helped move other furniture to get the errant movers out more quickly. We were comfortable granting Eric and his team full access to our home during the work period. Even after we moved back in, we found some minor areas we wanted touched up (including scratches that were our fault when moving the refrigerator back in) and the team gladly came back to finish the job. We did not have to pay a cent until the project was completed. This was vastly different from other companies who wanted as much as 50% upfront, which we were not comfortable with. We are so happy with the work Totally Floored Inc did for us!
