3 months agoAfter 2 companies told me my floors were not able to be sanded, Charlie saw through this and was able to take on the job. I can not express how happy I am with the job he did. In total, took about 5 days worth of work, and looks brand new. He saved me from spending 13k on new hardwood flooring! Great communication, always prompt, and takes pride in his work. Thank you for bringing my old home back to life!! -

3 months agoVery Unprofessional don't waste your time. At first I thought this was a reputable company. I talked to a gentlemen named Charlie and he provided great insight on what options I have with the type of flooring. I felt informed after having the conversation. Literally 2 days later after we talked, I received a text message stating "Im gonna assume your not serious since you cant make a phone call eventhough you went on and filled out a form for me to contact you but is what it is best of luck on the project im not interested and no need for txt back im not into excuses" This is not acceptable, and going forward they have lost my business and trust. -

FAQ
How much does hardwood floor refinishing cost with Floor It Hardwood Floors: Refinishing in Western NY, and do you offer free estimates?
Pricing for hardwood floor refinishing depends on the floor's condition, size, and the extent of sanding required, as we assess each job individually. We provide free estimates after inspecting the scratched or worn surfaces to give you an accurate quote. This ensures you understand the value based on the multi-day process needed for a smooth finish.
Are you licensed and insured for hardwood refinishing jobs?
Floor It Hardwood Floors: Refinishing in Western NY operates with full licensing and insurance to handle refinishing projects safely in the Buffalo area. We maintain these credentials to protect both our team and your property during sanding and finishing work. Homeowners can verify this through local records or by requesting proof during consultation.
Does Floor It Hardwood Floors: Refinishing in Western NY handle challenging hardwood floors that other companies say cannot be sanded?
We specialize in tackling hardwood refinishing jobs that others decline, such as deeply scratched, worn, or previously deemed unsandable floors. Our approach involves thorough sanding over several days to achieve a smooth, fresh finish on these tough surfaces. This has successfully revived countless challenging floors in the Western NY community.
What is the typical timeline for your refinishing projects?
Floor It Hardwood Floors: Refinishing in Western NY completes most hardwood refinishing jobs in about five days, depending on the floor's condition and size. We dedicate time each day to sanding down scratches and worn areas, followed by finishing steps that require drying. Clear scheduling expectations are set upfront so you know when to expect completion and when floors are ready for use.
How do you handle cleanup and debris after refinishing with Floor It Hardwood Floors: Refinishing in Western NY?
We ensure your home is left clean by thoroughly removing sanding dust and debris throughout the process and at the end. All waste from the multi-day refinishing is properly disposed of, leaving floors smooth and your space ready for immediate enjoyment. This attention to cleanliness minimizes disruption during the project.
Why is professional hardwood refinishing safer and better than attempting it yourself?
Professional refinishing uses specialized equipment to sand floors evenly over several days, avoiding damage from improper tools or techniques common in DIY attempts. We take on challenging floors that require expertise to assess and revive without risking further harm to the wood. This method delivers a durable, smooth finish that lasts longer than DIY results, saving you time and potential costly repairs.
