1 year agoI needed some specific brand and color flooring. John, quoted me a very good price. Was able to get the floor I needed on a very short amount of time. When everyone elses turn around time was 8 days. He arranged for me to pay for the floor at a location that was closer to my house. He went beyond the extra mile. I would definitely recommend this store and will continue to do business with them. Perfect color, timing and absolute amazing service. -

1 year agoWe purchased luxury vinyl flooring from Floors for Living a few years ago. We loving the flooring but the install was a little sloppy and we didn't notice at first but when we moved the couches the flooring didn't extend all the way to the way and formed a jagged line. Also recently the hardwoods below the vinyl flooring started to bow so now we have these big bubbles through the house. I bring this up because no one told us if we leave the wood flooring and put the vinyl on top this could happen. We had a flooring company come look and told us we should have never install the vinyl over the hardwoods. Now we have to rip up the vinyl, the hardwoods and redo all our flooring. Again the flooring we bought from Floors for Living was great it was just THEIR contracted installers we are not happy with. -

FAQ
How does Floors For Living - Meyerland determine pricing for carpet or hardwood installations?
We base pricing on the specific brand, color, and type of flooring you select, along with the room measurements and scope of the project. Custom quotes account for matching existing floors or achieving realistic wood-look and marble finishes in areas like bedrooms, kitchens, or bathrooms. This ensures you get an accurate cost tailored to your needs without hidden fees.
Are you licensed and insured for flooring work?
Floors For Living - Meyerland carries the necessary licensing and insurance required for carpet contracting, flooring contracting, and tile installation in Houston. Our established location at 9601 Hillcroft St serves as a verifiable point of contact for homeowners. We prioritize compliance to protect both your home and our team during every project.
Does Floors For Living - Meyerland handle vinyl plank replacements that match existing floors and tile removal in kitchens?
We specialize in vinyl plank flooring that precisely matches your existing installations, including wood-look options for closets and marble-look for bathrooms. Our services extend to removing old ceramic tile in kitchens before installing new flooring. This approach ensures seamless transitions across rooms like master baths and walk-in closets.
What is your typical timeline for sourcing and installing specific brand and color flooring?
We provide quick turnarounds, often delivering specific brands and colors in far less time than the standard 8 days quoted by others. Installation follows promptly after sourcing, covering multiple rooms efficiently from carpet in bedrooms to tile throughout the home. Factors like material availability and project size influence the exact schedule, which we discuss upfront.
What happens to debris and how do you leave the house after Floors For Living - Meyerland completes a flooring job?
We remove all old flooring materials, such as carpet, tile, or vinyl, and haul away the debris from the site. Our team cleans up the work areas thoroughly to leave your home ready for immediate use. This includes transitions between new carpet and wood-look flooring, ensuring no mess remains behind.
Why is hiring you for professional flooring installation safer and better than doing it as a DIY project?
Professional installation guarantees precise matching of brands, colors, and finishes like realistic wood or marble that DIY often fails to achieve without specialized tools. We handle complex tasks such as tile removal and multi-room transitions, avoiding common errors like uneven seams or subfloor damage that lead to costly fixes. Our experience ensures durability and proper adhesion, extending the life of your floors far beyond amateur attempts.
