4 weeks agoI've been a customer for 5 years. I really just feel like the Husker Refuse guys have integrity, and go above and beyond. They are always so kind to my kids when they want to see the trash truck. One guy even picked my son up so he could push the button. Whenever we have extra trash they always take care of it. Truly I am so impressed by these guys! -

1 month agoI have a sign on my door that says no soliciting, but their rep ignored it and knocked anyway. I saw on my camera that he had a yellow vest on, so I thought he was with a utility. I came outside, asked if he was selling something. He said no, and then proceeded to try to sell me. He made it out like Husker Refuse is a small company, trying to compete with my current garbage company (Harms Refuse, who is wonderful). Yet Husker has thousands of reviews here. Please don't knock on doors when there's a sign that says no soliciting, and don't say you're not selling something when you are. -

2 months agoHusker Refuse sent a door-to-door salesman through my neighborhood wearing a high-visibility vest clearly meant to make him look "official," like he worked for a utility so people would answer their doors. He rang my doorbell despite a clearly visible NO SOLICITING sticker. When I pointed that out, he admitted he saw it and ignored it anyway. Translation: rules don't apply to Husker Refuse. I told him to leave without letting him launch into his sales pitch and turned to go back inside. The professional thing for him to do at that point would have been to apologize for bothering me and walk away. Instead, he made a snarky comment along the lines of, "okay, so you don't care about saving money" - an immature jab because I shut him down. That's when I turned around and tore into him. It felt so good! Ignoring posted no-solicitation notices, using visual cues to project authority they don't actually have, and getting passive-aggressive when someone shuts them down: if this is how Husker Refuse trains its salespeople to represent the company, that tells me everything I need to know. Plenty of companies manage to sell their services without acting scummy. This isn't the first time Husker Refuse has harassed me at home. It had better be the last. -

2 months agoThis is the worst trash company ever. I have repeatedly told them that for a month that there would be extra trash due to construction for about one month. Each and every week they have a problem with the amount of trash. I left them their trash bin plus 2 extra Rubbermaid trash cans at curb side, and this company complained that it was an excessive amount of trash. I use Johnson and son's at my place and have literally left more trash at the curb (only on occasions) and they never said anything. HR is petty and will charge you extra for each and every time you might have anything extra sitting out at the curb for them. Their pettiness has cost them business from me and I will make sure I tell everyone about what a horrible company they are. Now if I threw an excessive amount of trash such as couches and furniture and trash all over by the curb, I could understand. But I'm not doing that and am very conscious about making sure a trash can isn't to heavy, that trash is put i to construction type trash bags, ect...... -

2 months agoMe and my girlfriend Amelia have been with the company for about a year. I say her name because I see the person moderating this page singles you out if they don't have your name in their database and I've never seen a trash company so disrespectful. Takes two weeks to pick up the trash and of course that makes it build up. We call and ask what's going on and they tell us Saturday. Saturday comes and goes they don't show they tell us Tuesday. Tuesday comes and goes. They don't show. so they show up on their regular day and say we're going to make sure we get everything. And the leave a mess behind. Frozen to the ground!!!! Cool! Just cool. Glad I'm switching. PS. It's not just me. It's the whole neighborhood that hasn't been picked up. Update. Today Saturday 12/27 they came to pick up trash again. More trash in the street. What I don't get is I use trash bags. Things are in bags.. how are there eggs shells and tissue all over the street. This has happened so many times now... I just love picking up trash from the street every time they come pick up my trash. It's almost like they have no respect at all... by the way I canceled my service this month and this would be the last pick up day. Why didn't you take the bins??
