9 months agoThere is no communication between the front office and those in the field. Front office unable to take responsibility for not knowing what was done in the field and kept pushing the problem back on me. Those in the field do not communicate with the pool owner when they are coming and what work was completed. Not even a work note in the mail box. Consequently the pool owner needs to call the office to find out what has been done but the office can only guess because they have no record of the work done either. Unfortunately my credit card is on file and can be charged ad lib. What for? I don't know. Front office could not tell me. It has so far been a difficult season due to the rain. I understand their stress. Yet a simple, "I am sorry that happened, let me get to the bottom of it ", instead of excuses (you probably didn't have power, DE goes in the intake etc) and avoiding taking pot shots at my presupposed "ignorance re pools" would have gone a long way and lessened my frustration. Would avoid this company. -

9 months agoIf you take care of your own pool this is the place to go for supplies, testing and materials. The managers are professionals and will assist you if needed. Skip the big chain stores if so. -

10 months agoWe started using Hat City Pools after a different company disappointed us. Since the switch, we have been so happy with the service we get from Hat City. Whether it's the customer service on the phone or in the store, or the technical service from the field crew, the experience has been great! Thanks to Rich and Jamie and the team at Hat City Pools- you're an exceptional company to do business with!

FAQ
How does Hat City Pools determine pricing for pool installations and repairs?
We assess pricing based on the project scope, such as pool size, type of installation, materials needed, and site conditions like terrain challenges. Custom quotes account for labor, parts availability, and any specialized equipment required for tasks like hot tub deliveries up hills. Contact us for a detailed estimate tailored to your specific needs.
Do you offer free estimates for handyman and pool services?
We provide free estimates to help homeowners understand costs upfront without commitment. Our team evaluates the job on-site or via detailed discussion to deliver accurate quotes. This approach ensures transparency from the start of any project.
Is Hat City Pools licensed and insured for pool contracting work?
Our team holds multiple certifications including Certified Pool Operator (CPO) and Connecticut swimming pool builder licenses. We serve residential and commercial clients across Fairfield and Litchfield counties in Connecticut plus neighboring New York areas with full compliance. These qualifications ensure work meets all local safety and building standards.
Are you licensed and insured for installing inground pools and hot tubs?
Hat City Pools maintains CPO certifications and Connecticut swimming pool builder licenses for all installations. We carry proper insurance to protect both our team and your property during projects like moving hot tubs onto decks or around challenging sites. Homeowners can verify our credentials through state licensing boards for added assurance.
What specific pool services does Hat City Pools handle, like liner replacements or hot tub installations?
We manage in-ground and above-ground pool installations, liner replacements, pump repairs, and seasonal maintenance for residential and commercial properties. Our hands-on expertise includes challenging hot tub setups, such as navigating hills or ramps, as shown in our installation photos. We also source parts for older pools to extend their life without full replacement.
Do you handle hot tub installations and pool fence additions?
Our services cover full hot tub installations, including unloading from trailers, dolly transport, and precise placement on decks or down ramps. We install safety features like black metal fences and gates around pools to meet code requirements. These tasks draw on our experience since 2003 in the Danbury area for safe, effective results.
