2 years agoYes, I recommend this pro. I had a deck pressure washed, railing and deck stained. Had repair to door and new screening on the deck. The handyman was professional, courteous and the results were exactly what I asked for. I am recommending him to my friends and family. Cost of project was below other bids. Definitely a rating of 5! -

2 years agoFrom start to finish the process was great. I wish all projects went this smooth. From initial consultation and discussing needs. They walked us through our options, and suggested things we didn't even consider. The gave us everything we wanted done perfectly. They put in a new bathroom for us with tile floors. Overall, whether your looking for a small remodel or project, or a bigger full home build. This will definitely be our choice for any future projects. -

2 years agoI contracted Ben @ Carolina Handyman & Builder to remodel two bathrooms, both of which required fully gutting and redoing tile work, plumbing, cabinets, counters, fixtures, electricity, etc. I cannot recommend him highly enough. First, he's really a pleasure to deal with - super nice guy and very honest and trustworthy. Second, he does really good work for a good price. I found his rates to be highly competitive and his work was top notch. He gave me many options throughout the design process, always making recommendations based on his extensive history in the home building field. My bathrooms look amazing - and it was a completely stress-free process. Highly recommend.

FAQ
How does Carolina Handyman Builder determine pricing for projects?
We provide free estimates for all projects, which allows us to understand your specific needs and give you an accurate quote before any work begins. During the estimate, we'll walk through your project scope, discuss material options, and explain how labor and materials factor into the final cost. This transparent approach ensures you know exactly what to expect financially before we start work.
Are you licensed and insured?
Carolina Handyman Builder operates with the proper credentials to serve homeowners in Taylors and surrounding areas. We recommend asking to see our documentation during your initial consultation so you can verify our qualifications and understand the protections in place for your home and our team during the project.
Can Carolina Handyman Builder handle specialized work like custom built-ins and tile work?
Yes, we specialize in a wide range of interior and exterior projects beyond basic repairs. Our portfolio includes custom built-in shelving, fireplace finishing, bathroom remodels with full tile work, drywall installation, and structural additions. Whether your project is straightforward or requires detailed craftsmanship, we assess the scope during your free estimate and explain our approach to ensure quality results.
What should I expect regarding scheduling and how quickly can you start?
Carolina Handyman Builder works with homeowners to find scheduling that fits both parties. The more advance notice you provide, the better we can accommodate your timeline. During your estimate consultation, we'll discuss project duration, whether work spans multiple days, and what to expect regarding our arrival schedule so you can plan accordingly.
How does Carolina Handyman Builder handle cleanup and debris removal after completing work?
We maintain cleanliness throughout the project and ensure your home is left in good condition once work is complete. Our process includes removing waste materials and debris generated during the job. We understand that protecting your property and leaving the workspace clean is part of delivering quality service, so cleanup is built into how we operate.
Why should I hire a professional instead of tackling repairs myself?
Professional handymen bring expertise that prevents costly mistakes and ensures work is done safely and to code. Projects like plumbing, electrical work, structural repairs, and tile installation require proper technique and knowledge of local building standards. We handle the technical complexity, source quality materials, and stand behind our work so you avoid the time investment, potential safety hazards, and the risk of having to redo work that wasn't done correctly the first time.
