9 months agoMy property sustained significant tree damage from the Northern Michigan ice storm, a job too big to tackle on my own. State Tree Service took care of the job quickly and efficiently at a fair price. The crew was friendly and thorough; they know what they are doing. The estimate job list was completed and Luis made certain I was happy with the work before leaving the site. This is like an old school company that arrives on time, delivers on their promise, and did extras without being asked that did not go unnoticed. I cannot recommend this company enough and would absolutely hire them again in the future. Thank you for your hard work. My property looks fantastic. -

1 year agoThey did a good job of taking down my tree, but exiting my property they hit my electric service wires, knocking out my power. That was about 11 am, my power was not restored untill about 4:00 that afternoon by the power company. Fortunately I had a generator, so I was not totally without power, but when I asked state tree service to reimburse me for the cost of running my generator all afternoon, they refused. Pretty poor response to a problem that they caused by their negligence in my opinion.

FAQ
Does State Tree Services, Inc offer free estimates for tree removal in Sumter, SC?
We provide free estimates to assess your tree care needs, such as removal, trimming, or storm damage cleanup. Pricing depends on factors like tree size, location, accessibility, and any specialized equipment required, such as cranes for trees between houses. This ensures you receive a fair, customized quote based on the job's specifics.
Are you licensed and insured for tree services?
State Tree Services, Inc carries full licensing and insurance coverage, including liability and workers' compensation, to protect your property and our team during operations like tree removal and land clearing. We gladly provide proof of insurance upon request before starting any work. This setup safeguards homeowners from potential risks associated with heavy equipment and high-altitude tasks.
Does State Tree Services, Inc handle storm damage recovery and tree removal near structures?
We manage storm damage recovery, including ice-damaged timber cleanup, and precision tree removal even for large trees positioned between houses or close to structures. Our crews use specialized tools like tracked arborist platforms, bucket lifts, cranes, and wood chippers to safely dismantle limbs and trunks without harming surrounding landscapes. This approach covers our full service scope, from demolition and excavation to comprehensive tree care.
What should I expect for scheduling and arrival times?
We arrive as scheduled and on time, starting work early to complete jobs efficiently, whether it's a single tree or extensive clearing. Timelines vary by job complexity-quick for routine pruning, longer for crane-assisted removals-but we communicate clear expectations upfront. Factors like weather or seasonal demand can influence availability, so early booking helps secure your preferred window.
Does State Tree Services, Inc handle cleanup after tree work?
We leave your property clean and tidy, with thorough debris removal using wood chippers and dump trucks to process branches on-site. Our process includes hauling away waste, ensuring no limbs or chips remain scattered across your yard or landscape. This complete cleanup is standard, transforming messy storm damage or removal sites back to usable condition.
Why is hiring you safer than attempting tree removal myself?
Professional tree work requires heavy machinery like cranes and aerial lifts, plus trained crews to manage risks such as falling limbs near homes or power lines, which DIY efforts can't safely handle. Our experienced teams apply precision techniques for complex jobs, preventing property damage or injury that often occurs without proper equipment and expertise. Homeowners avoid hazards like unstable cuts or uncontrolled drops by relying on our structured methodology.
