4 months agoBEWARE!!! We hired Ryan to build a room on to our house, cement in some flowerbeds in the front and make the stoop to the front door wider, take out a wooden patio and put in a cement one with a roof and fan, and put in 2 egress windows in our basement. It was a disaster! He couldn't pass inspections on the room, believe there were 7 and they started charging him to come out and inspect, they came out so many times, the roof had many inspections as well before it would finally pass. The floor in the room slants so we have to watch where we put furniture or we have to put something underneath so it doesn't wobble. The cement cracked in the front and back at 5 weeks. The wood on the cover of the patio warped and bowed. They took the window in the back out for the egress in January and it was out all winter. My living room flooded from the cover of the patio not being attached to the roof of the house correctly. My basement flooded because the egress window were put in wrong. He wouldn't fix the cement. The water puddles outside the door to the new room because the cement isn't even. Where the water was able to get into the cement cracks in the front there is a hole about 6-9 inches in under it and same in the back. We had an expert with cement come over and tell him how it needed to fixed and he wouldn't do it. They tore out our sprinkler system front and back as well as our entire yard. We found our alarm system for our basement in a dirt pile in our front yard. These are only the major things but there were far more than this! He will not honor his guarantee at all and he left the job unfinished!!! We also received paperwork that 2 liens were going to be put on our house because he wasn't paying his bills. We paid one because we couldn't get ahold of him and the other he paid so it wasn't filed. We went into mediation but nothing came out of it to take him to court was more money then we wanted to spend on him. So we cut our losses. He comes across as a nice guy but Beware he takes no pride in his workmanship and doesn't fix what he has broken or messed up! -

1 year agoWe did work for this guy..The customer was extremely happy.and this guy failed to pay his subcontractors. We took him to court. We won the judgment against him He Has wrote a series of bad checks. And now he has a warrant for his arrest. This guy is a real piece of work. -

1 year agoHey there Google Review Readers. My name is Trapper Searles and I own The Garage Doctor (check us out, over 800 5 star reviews) we were contracted by Ryan for a small project. We arrived in the day scheduled and were told the project was ready for us. Our installer arrived to an incomplete framed opening. He waited onsite until it was finished (couple hours) he then installed the door and opener we were contracted to do. Months went by without payment or Any Communication from Ryan! We tried reaching him Several times and different ways. He was clearing screening calls and ghosting payment! When he finally chose to respond he said he was out of town and he'd take care of it when he returned. Today we received a partial payment shorted $175 for us "not completing the job" when I tried reaching him there was no answer or text back. He told our salesman that he had to install the keyless entry and program the remotes... we would've gladly come back to do that as power wasn't supplied when we were there and one of the onsite laborers told us not to worry about it. We are a very communicative company and we never heard from this guy. I'd be ware as a consumer or a vendor when working with Ryan. -

2 years agoRyan and his team were great to work with. We had a large project going on and utilized several contractors throughout the process. Ryan and his team were by far the best to work with and the craftsmanship was excellent.

FAQ
Does Forge Projects offer free estimates for handyman services like kitchen remodels or deck builds?
We provide detailed estimates that outline costs for materials, labor, and the full scope of work. These estimates help homeowners understand exactly what to expect before committing to a project such as a basement remodel or custom framing. Contact us via email or phone to discuss your needs and receive your customized quote promptly.
Are you licensed and insured for construction and handyman work?
Forge Projects carries full licensing and insurance to cover all our handyman and remodeling projects. Our team ensures compliance with local regulations for tasks like concrete work and accessibility modifications. This protects both your property and our workers during every job.
Does Forge Projects handle specific tasks like awning installation, overhang builds, or room additions?
We manage a range of projects including awning construction over doors, overhangs by sheds, room additions, cement work in flowerbeds, and stoop widenings. Our services also cover drywall repairs, floor installations, and patio replacements with roofs. Each job receives focused attention based on your exact requirements.
What is your typical timeline and arrival window for scheduling handyman projects?
We maintain responsive communication to set clear timelines that fit your schedule, whether for quick repairs or larger remodels. Expect us to arrive within agreed windows and complete work efficiently, as seen in fast project turnarounds like floor and wall installations. Factors like project size and material availability influence the overall duration.

We handle all debris removal and site cleanup to leave your property neat and ready for use immediately after completion. This includes clearing waste from tasks such as drywall repairs or patio replacements. Homeowners appreciate returning to a tidy space without additional hassle.
Why is hiring you for bathroom remodels or accessibility modifications safer and better than doing it yourself?
Our detailed estimates and ongoing communication prevent common DIY errors like improper jointing in subfloors or uneven cement applications. Professional tools and experience ensure structural integrity in framing, concrete, and modifications that amateurs often mishandle. This approach minimizes risks, saves time, and avoids costly fixes down the line.
