Eric has been doing repair work for me over 20 years. Having lived in two old homes that need attention, he is my go to guy. He is passionate about his work and grew up helping his dad who was a plasterer. You won't be disappointed with his skills.

I'm not a customer, but I own a construction company and have a passion for plaster art. I met Eric Aulbach on a job many years ago and was immediately impressed by his work. He is incredibly knowledgeable, and I always enjoy our conversations about plaster techniques and artistry. Whenever I have questions about plaster, Eric is my go-to expert because his depth of knowledge is unparalleled. When I need to subcontract plaster work, he is the first person I call. I highly recommend Eric Aulbach. He is not only a great people person but also has outstanding product knowledge.

I was looking forward to meeting with Eric Aulbach on a jobsite this morning at 8am. It was a hassle to schedule the appointment through his assistant, Susan. But Susan made the appointment happen and, after checking with Eric that he could accommodate an 8am site visit, we booked the appointment. I confirmed the appointment last night via text. This morning, Eric was a no show. I called Susan at 810am and she answered. I told her that Eric wasn't at the house where we agreed to meet. She said instantly, ohhhhh he must have forgotten, and then gave me a shpeel about Eric being very busy. I started to explain that I am also busy, running multiple companies as a single mom who is also completing a PhD program. Susan hung up on me. I texted: Very unprofessional. Susan responded with a bunch of excuses about how she had to take another call, blah, blah, blah. I hope this business performs better for others than they have for me today.

FAQ

Does Eric Aulbach Plastering offer free estimates for plaster repair jobs?

We assess the scope of work, including the size of the damaged area and materials needed, to provide accurate pricing during an on-site visit. Estimates are provided at no cost to help you understand the full project details upfront. This approach ensures transparency so you can plan effectively for plaster installation, repair, or texture restoration.

Are you licensed and insured for plastering and handyman services?

Eric Aulbach Plastering brings specialized skills in ornamental repair, stucco, and Venetian plaster finishing that ensure lasting results for residential and commercial projects. Our reputation is built on consistent positive feedback for fast, efficient service and friendly interactions. Homeowners value our precision in matching textures and finishes to preserve the original character of spaces.

Can Eric Aulbach Plastering handle repairs for damaged ceilings with peeling plaster or large holes exposing lath?

We specialize in repairing damaged ceilings, including peeling plaster, holes exposing wooden lath, and texture restoration to match surrounding areas. Our team also addresses newly plastered sections around electrical outlets and preps rooms properly with protective sheeting. These tasks fall within our expertise in plaster installation, ornamental repair, and drywall work for seamless results.

What is your typical timeline and arrival window for scheduling plaster repair services?

Eric Aulbach Plastering schedules jobs promptly after your call, with our team arriving efficiently to start work as agreed. Timelines depend on project size, but small repairs often complete in a single visit while larger restorations may span a few days. We communicate clear arrival windows to fit your schedule and minimize disruption.

Does Eric Aulbach Plastering clean up after completing plaster and stucco jobs?

We thoroughly clean the work area after every job, removing all debris, dust, and waste to leave your space spotless. This includes vacuuming, wiping surfaces, and disposing of materials responsibly following plaster repair or installation. Proper cleanup protects your home and allows immediate use of the repaired areas.

Why is hiring you for plaster repair safer and better than attempting DIY fixes?

Professional plaster work requires matching historical textures, using specialized tools for lath repair, and applying finishes like Venetian or stucco correctly to prevent future cracking. DIY often leads to mismatched appearances, structural weaknesses, or moisture issues that worsen over time. Our precise methods ensure durability and safety, avoiding risks like improper weight support on ceilings.
