1 year agoHad a major remodel done at our house with 2 bathrooms. Nathan came in unlike the other contractors and started getting a plan in place to rip everything out to the studs and figure out what we wanted. At the time it was the best we had seen, and we signed a contract for the work. It took some time before renovations started but as promised we had 2 contractors come out to do the job. It took 2 months to finish. During that time, we had a good experience with the workers and what was being done. If there were changes that needed to happen, they were open to the changes, and we got them put in. With that said, the changes were pricey. Towards the end of the job, we felt the workers were trying to finish quickly and missed some finishing touches. We still have some trim work that was never done, and our floor could be better. Less than 6 months post, we noticed a spot in the ceiling of one of our bathrooms where mold was showing. We contacted Nathan about it, and he sent someone out to look. The guy that came said that he could not see anything coming from the roof and was not sure if there was still water coming in but told us we could basically 'cover it up'. I did cover it up and eventually it came back. We tried contacting Nathan again about this but received no response. We were past the 1 yr mark and had another person come out to look at the mold on the ceiling. He went into the attic and found that indeed water was coming in due to a vent that the companies workers did not fully attach. It had sunk and caused water to build up during rains and slowly dripping on the ceiling in our bathroom. Even though this was past the 1 yr covered, this was due to the work done by Nathan's crew. We sent this information to him and have received no response. If we could give 2.5 stars we would as the job was done and we do like quite a bit of it, but the issue that came later due to the work done and not finding the fix is why the 2 stars. -

4 years agoIt's been 6 months since install. They promised a 1 year warranty with repairs at 3 mo and 1yrs. I called after 3mo. No responses to emails and voicemails. Finally their glass subcontractor called unannounced and swapped out a chipped door. A few weeks later Randy calls and says he'll be by tomorrow. He adds grout on top of grout (not a repair) and tells me he cannot fix several of the tile issues because that would be "too big of a job" and he'd have to get approval. He leaves without telling me and I text and call multiple times with no response. See pictures attached. Randy told me the "apprentice" who happens to be co-owners son did all the bathroom tile work. I cannot show in a picture but there are lumps in the shower floor. The black hexagonal tiles are askew because "it's difficult". If I had done this job myself, I'd be very happy. Not happy paying a hefty sum with promise of a years warranty on install. They clearly did sloppy tile and grout work. -

4 years agoVery unprofessional are Steve, CEO & Nathan Newport. Signed contract based upon a verbal start date. Which was my 1st mistake by not having the a start date in contract. 30 days lapsed and no contact from Nathan Newport. I contacted him. He stated another 30 days. No contact from Nathan Newport. I contacted him twice. My 2nd contact I text I want a refund. Immediately Nathan Newport contacted me. Stated he can't give me a refund due to contract stated I had 3 days to cancel in order to get refunded. Mind you I trusted them that project would start in 30 days of signed contract. Needless to say I was not refunded. My opinion I will not recommend Renewing The Home Services LLC. Beware! They scammed an innocent trustworthy homeowner! -

4 years agoTim and Josh remodeled my master bathroom. They were very professional and the work was excellent. I would use them and Samatha for sakes anytime I need more work done. I can't say enough good thing about them they were prompt every day and had me review the work each day

FAQ
How does Renewing the Home Services, LLC determine pricing for remodeling projects?
We provide custom quotes based on the scope of your project, materials selected, and labor required. Since every bathroom remodel, kitchen renovation, or basement project is unique, we assess your specific needs during an in-home consultation before giving you a detailed estimate. This approach ensures you understand exactly what you're paying for and helps us avoid surprises down the road.
Are you licensed and insured?
Renewing the Home Services, LLC operates as a professional handyman and remodeling company in Kansas City, MO. We recommend asking about our current licensing and insurance documentation when you contact us to schedule your estimate-this protects both you and our crew during the work.
Does Renewing the Home Services, LLC handle full bathroom and kitchen remodels, or just smaller repairs?
We specialize in comprehensive remodeling projects, from complete bathroom overhauls and kitchen renovations to basement remodels and custom structural work. Our crews are equipped to handle projects that require removing studs and rebuilding to your exact specifications, so whether you need a full gut renovation or targeted updates, we can manage it.
What should I expect in terms of timeline and how do you schedule the work?
Renewing the Home Services, LLC schedules projects based on the complexity and size of your remodel. During your initial consultation, we'll discuss the estimated duration and create a timeline that works for your household. Major projects like basement remodels or bathroom overhauls require coordination, and we keep you informed about when our crews will be on-site and what to expect each phase.
How does Renewing the Home Services, LLC handle cleanup and debris removal after the project?
We maintain an on-site focus throughout your project, which includes managing waste and keeping your home in good working order as we progress. Once the work is complete, we clean up the work areas so you can enjoy your newly remodeled space without dealing with construction debris. Specific details about hauling and disposal can be discussed during your estimate.
Why should I hire a professional remodeler instead of attempting this work myself?
Professional remodeling requires expertise in building codes, structural integrity, plumbing, electrical systems, and proper installation techniques-mistakes in these areas can be costly and unsafe. Our crews bring years of hands-on experience tackling complex projects like bathroom and kitchen remodels, ensuring the work is done correctly the first time and built to last. DIY remodels often result in hidden problems that surface later, whereas professional work comes with the confidence that your home has been updated properly.
