1 year agoI highly recommend using Essential Tree Service! We received four quotes in total - Alex's was not only tied for the most affordable option, but he also provided the most comprehensive consultation by far! He really took the time to go over various plans, what each option would cost, and what they'd mean for the long term health of each tree. You can tell Alex passionately loves what he does and I appreciate his work - especially on the giant tree in our front yard that brings joy to everyone in our neighborhood. -

4 years agoAlex is a very personable and an expert in what he does. He did some work at my house and was efficient and cleaned up all debris when done. I highly recommend him for all your tree needs. -

4 years agoAlex came out a month ago to view trees and agreed on a date of Nov. 8. 2021. I scheduled life around being available and he failed to show up, failed to call, text or email. This is unacceptable and not professional. It cost me a day of work as well. He was a nice fellow, and I would have expected more from him. Now suddenly, page says "Temporarily closed." If it's due to covid, I'm sorry,, but certainly business people notify clients ahead of time. Down a days pay, schedule all moved around and not one attempt to return calls, email or texts. Disappointed...if he contacts me I will change report accordingly.. in the meantime, on to my days work. -

4 years agoThey never returned my phone call. I called on a Saturday morning and the message said he would open at Noon and check messages every 2 hours. Not sure why I never got a call back. -

4 years agoEssential Tree Service is literally everything you would want a company to be when you hire someone to do any kind of work at your home. I have honestly been writing this review in my since Alex came by for the first consult! Throughout the entire process, Alex was extremely communicative about the work being done but also how I can expect the work to impact my plants/environment in the long term! The cost was extremely reasonable. Alex and Doug were on time, efficient and safe. I couldn't have asked for a better outcome, and I absolutely will be a return customer for future projects!

FAQ
Does Essential Tree Service offer free estimates for tree removal or pruning?
We provide thorough consultations to assess your trees and match services to your needs, during which we deliver custom quotes based on the job's specifics like location, height, and access challenges. These consultations are free and no-obligation, allowing you to compare options confidently. Factors such as tree size, proximity to structures or wires, and any ground protection requirements influence the final pricing.
Are you licensed and insured for tree work?
Essential Tree Service employs certified arborists who prioritize safety on every job. We carry full insurance coverage to protect your property and our team during tree removals, prunings, and other services. You can request proof of our certifications and insurance details before we start work.
Does Essential Tree Service handle tree removals in tight spots near houses or wires?
We specialize in challenging tree removals in difficult locations, such as between closely spaced houses or around multiple wires and neighboring properties. Our certified arborists use climbing gear, ropes, and cranes when needed to ensure precise and safe execution. We also perform precise pruning for branches hitting houses and ornamental shaping to maintain tree health.
What is your typical timeline for scheduling and completing a tree service job?
We respond quickly to initial inquiries and set up consultations promptly to discuss your tree needs. Once we agree on the scope, we schedule work based on job complexity, often completing standard prunings or removals in a single day while larger projects may span a few days. Our seven years of experience help us provide realistic timelines upfront, factoring in weather and site access.
What cleanup does Essential Tree Service provide after tree removal or pruning?
We leave your property clean and tidy, hauling away all logs, branches, and debris in our trucks after every job. Our team protects underlying ground cover and surrounding areas during work to minimize disruption. You'll find no leftover stumps or mess, just a neat site ready for your next steps.
Why is hiring you safer than attempting DIY tree pruning or removal?
Professional tree work requires specialized climbing gear, ropes, and knowledge to handle hazards like tall trees near wires or in tight urban spots without risking falls or property damage. Our certified arborists follow precise techniques that preserve tree health and prevent issues like improper cuts that weaken structures over time. DIY efforts often lead to injuries, electrical dangers, or costly mistakes that professionals avoid through training and equipment.
