8 months agoHad to post a review here also. Owner is a who employs those just like him. All my neighbors on Colonial Forest had stopped using them because of shady pricing & tactics. I had to learn the hard way but they won't get another penny from me. Charged $125 for a test to find a leak. Didn't find the leak and didn't tell me they were going to charge me for the test. I called the office to find out what the charge was since they ran my card. Was told this test cost $125 and I explained the tech never disclosed this. They said oh well we will talk to him. As much money as I have spent with them you would think they would be straight shooters. It makes me question everything else they have charged me for. Super suspect business practices. -

2 years agoMy mother was struggling with these clowns for several years of service. Check out this brilliant piece of 'Rainscapes Engineering'. I wonder why there was a major leak flowing down the street. Half ass job instead of replacing a head or capping, how about crimping a piece of hose and wrapping with some electrical tape. I'm sure this will hold until after the bill has cleared. -

2 years agoHave been a customer for 2 years. Have accepted all their proposals without ever haggling or questioning pricing. The work we have received has been low quality (repairs having to be done by other contractors to fix their work), they don't delivery any of the attention to detail we want. system has been down a lot killing parts of the lawn. not recommend. Actively looking for a higher quality provider for expansion of the sprinkler system they maintain to include another area. -

2 years agoWon't use them again. For years, I used this company because they provided value for service. Most recently they charged $200 for a standard, residential backflow preventer inspection. I learned my lesson and won't use them again. -

3 years agoPhil Davis, with Rainscape, did a great job troubleshooting a broken sprinkler system that was damaged after a 4-rail fence was installed at my home. Also, had a leaky valve & needed to increase water pressure to get all zones to work properly.

FAQ
How does Rainscapes determine pricing for irrigation repairs and installations?
We assess pricing based on the scope of the project, including materials needed like PVC pipes and valves, labor for trenching and system design, and any troubleshooting for issues such as leaks or damage from fences. Homeowners receive a detailed quote after an on-site evaluation to ensure transparency on costs for electric installations, light fixtures, or full lawn care services. This approach accounts for factors like system size and location to provide accurate estimates without hidden fees.
Are you licensed and insured for handyman work like sprinkler system repairs?
Rainscapes carries the necessary licensing and insurance to perform irrigation design, construction, maintenance, and related handyman tasks safely. Our coverage protects both our team and your property during installations involving trenches, pipes, and landscaping. We maintain up-to-date credentials as required for operating in Louisville, TN, giving homeowners peace of mind for all services from lawn care to electrical repairs.
Does Rainscapes handle sprinkler system troubleshooting and valve replacements?
We specialize in troubleshooting broken sprinkler systems, repairing leaky valves, and adjusting water pressure as part of our irrigation services. Our team also manages full installations, including digging trenches and laying PVC pipes next to homes for efficient watering of lush green lawns. These tasks extend to landscaping with rocks, trees, and shrubs, ensuring comprehensive care for your property.
What is your typical timeline and arrival window for scheduling irrigation or lawn care jobs?
We schedule jobs with clear arrival windows, typically within a one-hour block, and aim to complete standard repairs or maintenance in one to two days depending on complexity. For larger projects like full irrigation construction, expect a timeline discussed upfront after the initial assessment. Our team coordinates directly to fit your needs, responding promptly to keep your lawn and systems running smoothly.
How does Rainscapes handle cleanup and debris after irrigation installations?
We remove all waste and debris from trenches, pipe installations, and landscaping work, leaving your property clean and tidy. Excess dirt, rocks, and materials are hauled away in our company van at the end of each job. This ensures your yard is ready for immediate use, with no leftover mess from our handyman services.
Why is it safer to hire you for irrigation system design instead of doing it yourself?
Professional installation prevents common DIY errors like improper trenching depth or mismatched PVC pipe connections that lead to leaks flowing down streets. Our experienced approach includes precise system design for even watering during high temperatures, avoiding plant damage from faulty sprinklers. Hiring us saves time and reduces risks compared to self-attempts without specialized tools or knowledge of local soil and water pressure variables.
