3 years agoHUGE disappointment with finished product. We found this company through Columbia Gas energy program. Almost immediately after insulation was installed we began having issues with excessive humidity. We have been in our home since 2009, the insulation (and encapsulated crawlspaces) project was done in 2018. Within a year we had to replace $12,000 in windows because humidity led to mold and rotting windows (they were Pella wood windows installed just before we purchased the home in 2009). The Energy Tech owner came out and denied that the insulation played any role. Seems strange that we didn't have humidity issues for all the years PRIOR to insulation install. But sure, you are the expert. Fast forward to the past 18 months, we've had multiple contractors here to provide bids for finishing our basement. Just about every contractor commented on the terrible work in our crawlspaces. The attached photos are from this week. We finally broke down and paid someone to fix this mess yesterday. The photos speak for themselves. This was certainly NOT insulating us from whatever lives in the crawlspaces. And to top it off, they didn't even finish the work (under the stairs should be wrapped, not open dirt - bet they didn't think we would ever notice!). And look at the sprinkle of spray foam. Horrible!!! Unless you are interested in spending lots of extra money to clean up their mess, Energy Tech probably isn't the company for you. -
