1 month agoTonight we had an initial consult with Drew. He was very professional and good at explaining what was happening and the process with which to fix it. We haven't had anything fixed yet, so I can't speak to the completed project, but this initial visit has been a positive experience. We look forward to working with the company. -

FAQ
How does The Basement Doctor determine pricing for basement waterproofing and wall stabilization?
We assess your basement's specific issues, such as water entry points or wall movement, to provide a custom quote after a thorough inspection. Factors like the extent of waterproofing needed, materials for carbon straps, and site conditions influence the final cost. This approach ensures you receive an accurate estimate tailored to your home's needs.
Do you offer free estimates for handyman services like sump pump installation?
The Basement Doctor provides free estimates to evaluate your basement waterproofing or wall stabilization needs. Our team visits your property to inspect the situation and explain options clearly without any upfront cost. This allows homeowners to understand the scope and value before committing.
Does The Basement Doctor handle specific tasks like installing sump pumps, crawl space encapsulation, and carbon fiber straps for basement walls?
We specialize in basement waterproofing with installations like sump pump systems, crawl space encapsulation liners, and carbon fiber straps for wall stabilization. Our services also include foundation excavation and support beam setups to address water issues and structural concerns. These targeted solutions keep basements dry and secure over time.
What is your typical timeline and arrival window for basement repair projects?
We schedule projects based on your availability and provide clear arrival windows, with crews arriving punctual as noted in homeowner experiences. Most installations, such as carbon strap applications or sump pump setups, proceed efficiently over a few days depending on scope. Our teams communicate throughout to set realistic expectations and minimize disruption.
What cleanup process does The Basement Doctor follow after basement waterproofing work?
We manage dust during installations with careful techniques and clean up daily to leave your home tidy, avoiding any mess from drywall work or excavation. Crews ensure hallways and work areas remain clean, removing debris at the end of each day. This daily practice keeps your living space usable throughout the project.
Why is your professional approach to wall stabilization and waterproofing safer than attempting DIY?
Our crews use specialized methods like carbon straps for precise wall reinforcement, which require professional tools and knowledge to install correctly without compromising structure. DIY attempts often miss underlying issues like hydrostatic pressure or fail to control dust and debris effectively. We explain options thoroughly and deliver lasting fixes that prevent future problems, unlike temporary homeowner patches.
