FAQ
How does David Hirschberg Steel & Recycling Center determine pricing for scrap metal like steel, aluminum, copper, and brass?
We determine pricing based on current market rates for each type of scrap metal, such as steel, aluminum, copper, brass, and radiators. You receive quick cash payment after we weigh your load on our scale. Drop-off or pickup options both lead to straightforward payouts at competitive rates in the Cincinnati area.
Do you offer free estimates for junk removal?
David Hirschberg Steel & Recycling Center provides payment quotes directly after weighing your scrap on our certified scale, with no upfront estimate fees required. Bring your load to 211 Longworth St. in Cincinnati, OH, or arrange a truck pickup for immediate valuation. This process ensures transparent pricing based on the actual materials you deliver.
Does David Hirschberg Steel & Recycling Center handle pickup of scrap metals like radiators from my property?
We buy and pick up scrap metals including steel, aluminum, copper, brass, and radiators directly from your site using our trucks. Our crane and scale make unloading efficient whether you drop off or we collect. This service suits homeowners clearing out junk for cash without needing to transport heavy loads themselves.
What should I expect for scheduling and arrival times with you?
David Hirschberg Steel & Recycling Center operates with set hours, closing promptly at 11 AM even on Saturdays, so plan arrivals accordingly to avoid being turned away. We accommodate drop-offs at our yard or schedule truck pickups from your location for convenience. Note that initial visits may involve finding the right entrance, but staff assist once you're there.
What happens to the scrap metal and junk after David Hirschberg Steel & Recycling Center takes it?
We process all collected scrap metals like steel, aluminum, copper, brass, and radiators through our recycling operations at the yard. Materials are sorted, weighed, and recycled responsibly using our heavy equipment and warehouse facilities. Your junk contributes to metal reuse rather than landfill waste, with the site left ready for your next use after pickup.
Why is using your professional scrap metal service safer and better than handling it myself?
Our scale, crane, and trained staff handle heavy loads safely, reducing injury risks from lifting or transporting metals like radiators and steel yourself. We provide quick cash payouts and efficient unloading in our equipped yard, avoiding the hazards of DIY hauling over distances. Friendly assistance ensures a smooth process, especially for first-time sellers, with better market pricing than individual efforts.
