7 years agoSo I was there to make a commercial delivery in a tractor trailer. This facility is usually quick and getting you unloaded and back out on the street, but the fallback is they only have one area to load and unload you. The day that I pulled in there I had one piece on the tail to come off but they just back a flatbed tractor-trailer into they're unloading area and informed me that it would be a couple of hours. So we all know what that means, I had to juggle that piece of freight around in my trailer as I made other deliveries as I wasn't able to get it off that day. Their delivery hours are kind of restricted, they take lunch from noon to 1 p.m. and they close at 2 p.m. So if you are not there in the morning you are stuck.

FAQ
How does McKamish, Inc. determine pricing for commercial mechanical projects?
We determine pricing based on project scope, materials, labor requirements, and design complexity to ensure alignment with your budget from the start. Early collaboration during preconstruction allows us to provide real-time pricing and minimize change orders through coordinated planning. Contact us with your goals and drawings for a custom quote tailored to HVAC, plumbing, or piping needs.
Are you licensed and insured for commercial contracting work?
McKamish, Inc. operates as a fully licensed commercial mechanical contractor with comprehensive insurance coverage for all projects. Our union craftsmen adhere to industry standards in HVAC, plumbing, piping, and fabrication since 1975. This setup protects clients in sectors like healthcare and education from liability during construction or repairs.
Does McKamish, Inc. handle HVAC ductwork installation and metal fabrication for commercial buildings?
We handle HVAC ductwork installation, metal fabrication, piping, and plumbing for commercial projects using in-house expertise and prefabrication. Our team installs large-scale systems as shown in rooftop steel beam and industrial equipment projects. We also use 3D BIM modeling to plan complex mechanical systems accurately before construction begins.
What should I expect for project timelines and scheduling with you?
We establish clear timelines during the preconstruction phase, factoring in design-assist, fabrication, and installation sequences for efficient delivery. Design-build approaches speed up schedules by streamlining coordination and reducing delays from change orders. For emergency repairs or facilities management, our 24/7 service ensures prompt response to keep your operations on track.
How does McKamish, Inc. manage cleanup and debris after mechanical installations?
We prioritize site organization throughout projects, removing debris from piping, HVAC, and fabrication work to leave facilities clean and operational. Our proactive safety practices include daily cleanup to protect workers and clients during construction. Upon completion, we conduct final inspections to ensure the space meets your standards before handover.
Why is hiring you safer and better than attempting DIY mechanical work?
Our union-trained teams follow rigorous safety protocols, including training and accountability, which prevent accidents common in DIY efforts on complex HVAC or piping systems. Professional coordination with 3D BIM and prefabrication avoids errors that could lead to system failures or code violations. This expertise ensures durable, code-compliant results without the risks of inexperienced handling of heavy equipment or industrial materials.
