9 months agoWouldn't recommend them. They took advantage of an old lady... Was quoted 900.00 for a small garden project. They didn't do what was quoted. I called and complained. They were supposed to return but never did. Paid another company 265.00 for the same project and was satisfied. -

1 year agoNo regard for people at all. They saw the other end of the road was blocked by aqua doing work and proceeded to set up a crane blocking in 20 plus houses without even a knock or heads up aqua had been there for almost a month working so they had to know about it. Zero common courtesy. They were also recklessly dropping branches right by neighbors cars still again without going around trying to ask people to move them -

1 year agoCame out to assess and NEVER responded with an estimate. This was over one month ago. Even if you did not want to do the job professional courtesy of denial could have been provided. -

1 year agoShectman is the best of the best for tree care. Shoutout to Martin who is very professional and honest about options for removing rotting trees and was great to work with -

2 years agoMarty and the Shechtman team were a pleasure. They removed a hideous Blue Holly tree and replaced it with a beautiful Snow Fountain weeping cherry tree. Would use them again in a heartbeat.

FAQ
Does Shechtman Tree Care offer free estimates?
Yes, we provide free consultations to evaluate your trees and discuss your needs. During this visit, our certified arborists assess the condition of your trees, identify any potential issues, and understand the scope of work required. This allows us to give you an accurate quote based on your specific property and situation before any work begins.
Are you licensed and insured?
Shechtman Tree Care maintains full licensing and insurance coverage to protect both our team and your property. We carry liability and workers compensation insurance specific to tree care work. You can request proof of our credentials and insurance at any time, and we recommend always verifying this information with any contractor before work begins on your property.
What types of tree services does Shechtman Tree Care provide?
We handle a comprehensive range of tree services including pruning, tree removal, stump grinding, tree health care for trees and shrubs, storm cleanup, planting, and cabling. Our certified arborists evaluate each tree carefully to determine the best approach for your specific situation, whether that's saving a tree through proper care or safely removing one that poses a risk.
How long does it typically take to schedule and complete tree work?
Shechtman Tree Care works to schedule appointments promptly based on availability and the urgency of your situation. Emergency storm cleanup can often be addressed quickly, while routine work like pruning or removal may be scheduled within a few weeks depending on current demand. The actual time to complete your project depends on the scope of work, the size of trees involved, and site conditions.
What does Shechtman Tree Care do with debris and logs after tree removal?
We handle cleanup as part of our service to leave your property in good condition. Depending on the job, we can chip branches into mulch, cut and stack wood for you, or remove all debris from the site. Specific cleanup details and any additional options are discussed during your estimate and included in your quote, so you know exactly what to expect before work begins.
Why should I hire a certified arborist instead of doing tree work myself?
Certified arborists have specialized training in tree biology, health assessment, and safe work practices that go far beyond basic chainsaw operation. Professional tree care requires knowledge of proper pruning techniques to promote tree health, ability to diagnose disease or structural problems, and equipment to safely handle large branches and trees near structures or power lines. Improper cuts or removal methods can damage trees permanently, create safety hazards, or cause property damage that costs far more than professional service.
