5 years agoI was recommended to Stone Acorn by a friend who purchased one of their winning Bellaire Showcase Homes. She highly recommended Sarah and Benjamin. And I was not disappointed. There will not be enough space to really do justice to the the dedication and passion that Benjamin Lavine and Sarah Lavine-Kass have for their "work." I say "work" because you can sense that this is "work" that they so much enjoy that each time you talk to them it is like your are talking to a friend--they help you figure out what you want, what you need and will make it happen. I talk about Sarah and Benjamin because as a customer you constantly interact with Sarah and Benjamin, not with the offices of Stone Acorn hoping someone knows who you are and whether they'll care to return your call. What really impressed me (us, our family) about them is how easy it is to design and build with them--we did not have the usual "headaches" people talk about when building. What they have accomplished is to build us a quality, luxurious, elegant southern home--though all of their styles are impressive!--The finishes in our home are impressive, even to other builders that have come see our home! They take care of their quality because they are vigilant of their subcontractors---you as a customer do not have to be "on top" of them to check this or that out--they do that for you. What is very important to mention is that Sarah and Benjamin do not abandon you after you move-in to your home; if you reach out, they will answer and help however they can. I have so many pictures I could post of our home being a "home." Each room is so special and was designed for each of our needs and we have formed so many memories. Stone Acorn will build you a beautiful house that you will make your home. We continue to make sweet memories in this home and cannot wait for the many more to come. Our kids are growing up in this dream of a house! One more thing to add: two days afterthe Hurricane Harvey flood, the first person outside of my neighbors I saw was Benjamin Lavine checking in on us, and inspecting the home himself looking for evidence of flood damage, even if we did not flood (which we didn't but it was a precautionary check)--it was impressive to see and so comforting to know that if something had happened, they would have been there for us, too. I highly, highly recommend Stone Acorn Builders. And upon request through their reference, happy to talk.
